Douglas MacKinnon: Bloomberg to coal workers: You're fired!
Fox News ^ | 6/9/2019 | Douglas MacKinnon

In a supposed conversation between acclaimed authors F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway regarding the often eccentric behavior of rich people, Fitzgerald reportedly said: "The rich are different from you and me." Hemingway replied: "Yes, they have more money."

They may have more money, but they do not necessarily have better judgment.

Take former New York City Mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg, for instance. He just announced that he is going to donate $500 million to help close all remaining U.S. coal plants.

Zero chance, no matter how much money he throws at the corrupt, idiotic effort.

I don’t understand - if coal is SOOO DAMAGING to the planet as he says, and if he’s willing to spend his fortune to stop it, why not buy the coal mining operations outright and shut them down?

This is nothing more than a ruse to get around political campaign contribution laws.

What gets me is that he could donate the $500 million to add filtering technology to the coal plants throughout the US and lessen pollution output, and he just won’t do that.

Nurse Bloomberg can still do a lot of damage, if through nothing else but funding opposition media, etc.

“What gets me is that he could donate the $500 million to add filtering technology to the coal plants...”

Coal fired power plants only put out about 1% as much pollution as 40 years ago. They are already clean. This is the reason the EPA needed to declare CO2 a pollutant. There was no pollution coming from coal plants any longer. In order to continue the crusade, they had to find a new pollutant to go after.

“This is nothing more than a ruse to get around political campaign contribution laws.”

He should put his money where his mouth is. All of his businesses, his transportation and his properties should all run on alternative energy. Until then he, should STFU and just enjoy his family.

Michael Bloomberg must be heavily invested in the Russia coal industry...

Or go to China and stop the monthly additional coal plant from being built - show them the wonders of wind power, biomass and solar. See how quick you are laughed at and kicked out.

And CO2 is only 0.04% of the atmospheric gases, which amounts to nothing. It's essential for plants and humans. https://www.quora.com/What-percentage-of-carbon-dioxide-gas-is-there-in-the-atmosphere-by-volume

Yes and they are spending the majority of the money getting that last 10% of pollution out. People see the steam plume from the stack or cooling towers and think that’s pollution. No. it’s called water vapor.

But that would add useful jobs, so it is a no-no.

I lived in the NYC when this despot was Mayor, and the amount of people he allowed to be killed was absolutely disgusting. Bloomberg should be on death row for allowing that. Bodega owners, gas station attendants, all of them banned from owning guns so they could get killed instead so this lisping limp wristed b*tch would have more of an excuse to push gun control.

Probably the worst I ever seen was this one cctv video of a gas station attendant, a young guy, who was forced to allow an armed robber inside his booth because he had no way to defend himself. It was either let him into the booth, or he was going to get shot through the glass. So he let the robber in and the robber pointed the gun right at his chest and shot him point blank killing him.

Now if they attendant had a gun, he could have easily hid the gun behind the counter and blasted the mofo as soon as he stepped through the door. But NOOOOO, that was not satisfactory to this lisping b*tch Mayor. I hate that dudes guts so much, and all the businesses he harassed with his brown shirt inspectors as well, a real mega sc*mbag. I remember one of his brownshirts fined a hotdog vendor $1000 for not producing his license fast enough! THERE VILL BE ORDER!! YOU VILL PRODUCE YOU PAPERS IMMEDIATELY VHEN I CLICK MY HEELS! Oh yes, and then his anti-smoking campaign when he demanded a list from all landlords of all the tenants who smoke, real Nazi crap.

And you know what the percentage of methane is? 0.00017%. If you took a glass of water that was made up of 0.00017% cyanide and drank it you would live, you wouldn’t even feel it, that’s how small that is. Yet this dingbat AOC is telling us cow farts will kill us all.
