The issue that people have is that they selectively enforce their own policies.

Absolutely - social media platforms may rightly be required to honestly state their posting and other criteria up front.

Nothing more.

If it came to that Youtube would state: “Democrats - good. Orange Man - Bad!”

And that would be their standard the moment you come to Youtube for the first time.

And anybody who didn't want to use a platform with those standards would be able to make an informed choice.

Anything more is simply socializing private property; conservatives are against that sort of thing.

Is that along the lines of a Libertarian standard that soneone can refuse another eating at their restaurant if they 1.) recognize a preacher as being someone along the lines of Billy Sunday, Wesley, Martin Luther etc, 2.) that preacher is on TV taking on sin while saying that Jesus still loves the world and then 3.) the owner of the restaurant bans them from eating there because he hates his preaching.

What then happens to freedom of religion, much less freedom of speech?

The Left is politically cleansing the internet of conservative thought prior to 2020 elections.

All “hate” excuses are a fig lead for that goal.

I remember when Cruz was hitting Zuckerberg with tough questions at some Senate hearings prior to the 2018 mid-terms. After it was over there were video clips floating around the Internet praising Cruz being tough on Zuckerberg.

Cruz is really getting stuff done for us...Cruz had Zuckerberg squirming...Cruz has Zuckerberg worried...Zuckerberg is in big trouble now. On and on and on.

A few days later Facebook steps up their banning of conservatives. Zuckerberg, in my opinion, laughed at Cruz and doesn’t give a rat behind what he says or thinks. Cruz is nothing but a joke in Zuckerberg’s eyes.

Cruz is a pro at making great tough sounding video clips so conservatives thinks he’s a real fighter but that’s about it.

Until these social network giants are forced to change they’re only going to increase their banning of conservatives. It won’t stop or slow down.

By June 2020, there will only a few conservatives left and by the time the 2020 elections get here, even Trump will be banned.

Yes.

They continue to exist on the property of consenting owners, as always.

“By the time the 2020 elections get here, even Trump will be banned.”

It would make sense that they would time that for maximum damage. Presumably, he’s preparing for that contingency in advance.

Cruz is brilliant. He would have the smarts and gumption to support Crowder.

So ban Jesus, Peter, James and John from your restaurant?

Nice.

Sen. Cruz is a good guy, though generally speaking overall the Republicans deafening silence while all these big companies kick the normals off the internet is absolutely intolerable. I know they are beholden to their donors, but they have to come out swinging, and soon.

To yesthatjallen,
“”No coherent standard explains it.”
Left good, right evil. That’s coherent.”

You hit that one exactly right.

Would *I* do it? Certainly not! Must free men be free to do it? Yes.

Must men be free to do it? First...

Would it be sin? Yes.

Is it sin to abort a baby?

Yes.

Should women be free to do it?

No.

Should there be limits to what people can and cannot do?

So to what extent do we limit when it comes to personal freedoms on speech, religion, property rights, abortion, etc?

"rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual." -Thomas Jefferson

Each of us may allow or disallow on our own property whatever speech or worship we choose. The unborn child's right to life precludes any "right" to abortion.

But it would be a sin to refuse service to the Son of God, Jesus.

I will have to go with the Word of God over Jefferson’s words.
