I don’t know if the IG can actually do this but it does seem to be theoretically possible. Its true that each IG focuses on issues effecting its own agency but an enormous amount of goods and services are provided by contractors. In that sense, they become an integral part of agency operations.

So there may be some ‘expansion’ of their jurisdiction with respect to interviewing contractors during the course of investigating fraud or other types of malfeasance.

Whatever the case, its now looking like Durham may be the person who interviews Steele.

Barr will do diddly-squat.

*************

My concern with Barr is that he appears to be process oriented and would focus his efforts and findings on restoring accountability in these corrupt agencies rather than prosecuting the members of the anti-Trump cabal. I will be absolutely floored if the indictments start to fly.

With regard to your other comments justice may not be completely dead yet but it is certainly on life support. We clearly have a bifurcated system that treats people differently, depending on their means and status. Some are clearly above the law; I don’t see how any reasonable person could conclude otherwise. That in itself should be alarming to many.

We are a nation in decline. Manage your own situation as best you can. Its going to be a rough ride from here on out.

According to Joe diGenova, Steele will be talking to Dunham.

How reliable is diGenova ... of course we LIKE what he says, but we've "liked" others like Gowdy et al that "said" things ... but nothing happened. Is he "click bait?"

I don’t trust him
When was the last time he told the truth about anything
Like why he personally hates Trump so much

“...we suddenly learn that “dossier” author Christopher Steele has agreed to be questioned by U.S. authorities.”

In an apparently unrelated story, there has been a sudden spike in toilet paper sales in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Major retailers are diverting dozens of trucks from other areas of the country to avoid shortages.

” I will be absolutely floored if the indictments start to fly.”

If the nuts in the House vote to impeach, then there will be no holding back Trump. I believe that Barr would understand at that point that the process was being used to overturn an election, and that to preserve the process there would HAVE to be prosecutions...or it will happen again. There’s no use cleaning up the FBI and DoJ if, in 10 years, a new crew goes and does the same thing because this crew got off scot-free.

UK armed forces swear allegiance to the Queen. I would imagine she’s none to happy how this reflects on her

I think when the impeachment starts it is too late for indictments. They will be called tit-for-tat arrests, Barr will be demonized for doing Trump's bidding and seeking retaliation for the impeachment.

If Barr/Durham are going to do anything they need to do it now or soon.

Trump's supporters and defenders know the real story, but the vast MSM watching center of American politics doesn't know anything about the Deep State Coup. They need to hear about it very soon, and the ONLY way to ensure that, as I've been saying for two years, is INDICTMENTS.

Hope we see them, but I have no predictions to offer up. Maybe we do, or maybe Barr just goes the Horowitz "mistakes were made, but not criminal acts" route.

Firings aren't enough to change the narrative.

"I think the bigger story here was that Theresa May announced her resignation as Prime Minister almost immediately after the news of President Trump’s letter to AG William Barr — authorizing Barr to declassify any information he needed to investigate the origins of the FBI/CIA surveillance on the Trump campaign — hit the news."

I hope he doesn’t make a visit to Fort Marcy Park when he arrives in the U.S.
