Don't let HBO's acclaimed five-part series Chernobyl (HBO, IMDb, Wikipedia) demonize all nuclear power in your mind. It made this kid eager to read Mac MacDowell's important June 3 article here at American Thinker. In "Rare Earth Minerals and Thorium," MacDowell explains a different type of nuclear reactor that would do more than just help us produce clean energy. "Global warmists" would do well to read it.
If that article floats your boat, then you might also listen to the podcast of John Miller, a trader. In "Wind 'Farms' = Inefficient Power Plants," Mr. Miller reports on a "wind farm," a term he has no use for, being planned near Columbia, Missouri. He then goes on to sing the praises of nuclear energy, and the whole thing is quite enjoyable and informative. His style is down-home and he makes technical matters accessible. (If you like Miller's podcast, you can find more of them here and here, but they're quite eclectic.) Here's the Instagram map of the proposed wind farm Miller refers to in the podcast.

Bear in mind that a square 40 acre parcel is a mile on each side if I remember correctly.
We drove by the windfield near Palmdale a few years ago. Disgusting sight. Uh, understatement.
Okay, now you can.
Actually 1 square mile is 640 acres. 40 acres would be 1/4 mile by 1/4 mile.
Uh, oh yeah, I forgot the 6 in front. That’s it. Yeah I couldn’t have mis-remembered could I? In any case, a lot of property and a lot of dead birds. Thanks. LOL!
LOL! See next post.
I thought it Was a one quarter mile, a mile each way is 640 acres.
I have been re-educated.
I was in Mojave California recently. That place is covered in solar panels and windmills, many of which aren’t spinning, sho signs of rust. Earlier this year in Palm Springs, massive ugly wind farm there is showing signs of going down hill.
Well, at a nearby restaurant there was a petition demanding the stop of adding more solar fields. They are incredibly ugly and no doubt cost far more in money then they produce in energy. The only economic benefit of this crap is lining DNC donor pockets!
ANd a mule....
Watch the documentary Down Wind and you will be really educated about Wind energy harm.
I thought 40 acres was a mule? Or am I quoting the wrong thing???
LOL! Okay, I got it.
"FORTY ACRES AND A MULE," a phrase echoed throughout the South in the aftermath of the Civil War, asserting the right of newly freed African Americans to redistributed landsparticularly those plantations confiscated by U.S. troops during the waras compensation for unpaid labor during slavery.
Sounds like something Id do.
I never realized these units would kill so many birds.
Not good at picking up sarcasm, are ya???
I think hes pushing for more acreage.
