Manafort, I suspect was a Russian plant. Flynn possibly too. Both did indeed have troubling close ties to Putin. Manafort worked for Putin's puppet candidate in the Ukraine. A guy who's US-friendly opponent still to this day shows visible signs of an assassination-by-poisoning attempt.
Michael Flynn, a lifelong DEMOCRAT and OBAMA-APPOINTEE, appeared as a regular guest on Russia Today (RT), a state-controlled propaganda "news" outlet. He sat one seat from KGB/FSB Putin at a big gala honoring that fake news network. Unless, he was there working as a "secret agent" for us, or just really really dumb, this obviously should raise a very large red flag.
The issue here was that the President [Trump] got to the point where General Flynn's relationship misleading the Vice President and others, or the possibility that he had forgotten critical details of this important conversation had created a critical mass and an unsustainable situation.
That's why the President decided to ask for his resignation, and he got it."[121]"
That surprises me, and frankly, the source being Wikipedia, I’m a bit doubtful of its truth.
The lights are now on.
Crooked Cop and Special Counsel Robert Mueller Charged Paul Manafort, President Trumps former Campaign Manager, for working
with Ukrainians Leader, [Putin stooge], Viktor Yanukovych in 2013. However, Mueller worked with Yanukovych in 2013 as well.
This is not the first interaction Mueller had with the Russians.
In 2009 Mueller hand delivered uranium to the Russians on an airport tarmac per the request of Hillary Clinton.Mueller also was Head of the FBI when the Obama Administration sold 20% of US uranium to the Russians in the Uranium One deal.
Mueller also reportedly visited Moscow before he visited the Ukrainian President in 2013.

My next task is to look into this guy, "Thomas J. Barrack Jr" (see below)
Because he, conceivably, working with the Russians, may have set Trump up by introducing him to Manafort, who had worked for Putin's stooge in the Ukraine several years ago. Then this news about him (Manafort) working with Russia's puppet in the Ukraine, by design, would then be "leaked" to the press, in an effort to tarnish Trump.
It's all making more and more sense now.
Paul Manafort
Chairman of Donald Trumps 2016 campaignIn February 2016, Manafort approached Donald Trump through a mutual friend, Thomas J. Barrack Jr.
He pointed out his experience advising presidential campaigns in the United States and around the world, described himself as an outsider not connected to the Washington establishment, and offered to work without salary.[49]
In March 2016, he joined Trumps presidential campaign...
In August 2016, Manaforts connections to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his pro-Russian Party of Regions drew national attention in the US, where it was reported that Manafort may have received $12.7 million in off-the-books funds from the Party of Regions.[56]
On August 17, 2016, Donald Trump received his first security briefing.[57]
The same day, August 17, Trump shook up his campaign organization in a way that appeared to minimize Manaforts role.
It was reported that members of Trumps family, particularly Jared Kushner who had originally been a strong backer of Manafort, had become uneasy about his Russian connections and suspected that he had not been forthright about them.[58]
Manafort stated in an internal staff memorandum that he would remain the campaign chairman and chief strategist, providing the big-picture, long-range campaign vision.[59]
However, two days later, Trump announced his acceptance of Manaforts resignation from the campaign after Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway took on senior leadership roles within that campaign.[60][61]

UPDATE: May 17, 2019...
After a quick (Wikipedia) search I found this on him...
Thomas J. Barrack Jr
After Trump became president, Barrack acted as a middleman between him and Arab princes.[37]
He denies a quote attributed to him in the 2018 book Fire and Fury that he said Trump was, not only crazy but stupid.[38]
In a 2017 Washington Post article, Barrack commented on Trumps inflammatory rhetoric and proposals to ban immigrants from certain Muslim countries and put up a border wall with Mexico. Hes better than this, he said.[39]
Barrack was interviewed during the Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, in particular regarding Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Konstantin Kilimnik, Cambridge Analytica, the Trump campaign, the Trump transition team, and the financing of the Trump inauguration.[40][41]

Fizz is right.
We find out that Huber was "standing back" on investigating FISA for the past 14 months while Horowitz, without prosecutorial and in many cases, without subpoena power, diddled.
Trump was right back in March of 2018 and so was I.
And about the Clinton/Huber review, given the above track record, and given the statements by Joe and Victoria Toensing, and by Jim Jordan and other Congressman, I bet Huber has little to nothing. I predict that we will find out that Huber was ordered by Barr to "wind down" the investigation and report the paltry results, and that Barr will then move those items over to US Attorney Durham, for a real investigation.
F R U I T I O N. That one word caused boxes of wine and bottles of Xanax to be unplugged in Chappaqua NY
Honey Badger BETTER INDICT Hilliary and her Co-Criminals! If not, we have NO chance at getting our country back on track.
Fool them twice...
Michael Flynn, was a "semi-regular" guest on the state-controlled Russian propaganda media outlet, Russia Today (RT).

Shocking
news from last week
The Wiki piece was footnoted. Besides, wouldn't you think, if some anti-Trump lefty editor had posted that piece, or messed with the facts, that they would had made it appear that Flynn and Trump had a solid relationship, as opposed to him asking Flynn to resign (after only 24 days) because of trust issues related to his dealings with the Russians?
So...
They have court documents PROVING crimes, but instead of people GOING TO PRISON, they use it only as news to rile us up - AGAIN..
This is getting old.
I read the entire interview. It appears to me that Huber’s role in any prosecution has now been turned over to John Durham.
It is also obvious that Hillary’s crimes are going to be re-investigated. Barr has no intention of letting her off the hook. She’s going to prison.
Todays episode in the ongoing drama of Limited Hangout. Make the suckers beleive something is being done when nothing is being done.
Yes.................
Here, via C-Span transcripts, is the Wikipedia piece...

White House Daily Briefing
The issue here was that the President got to the point where General Flynns relationship misleading the Vice President and others, or the possibility that he had forgotten critical details of this important conversation had created a critical mass and an unsustainable situation.
Thats why the President decided to ask for his resignation, and he got it.
The irony of this entire situation is that the President has been incredibly tough on Russia.
He continues to raise the issue of Crimea, which the previous [Obama-Biden-Hillary] administration had allowed to be seized by Russia.
