Eddie Markey just dodged a bullet, which only goes to show that it is better to be lucky than good.
If Shannon Liss- Riordan of Brookline is Markey’s only opponent in the 2020 Democrat primary for the U. S. Senate, then he has little to worry about.
He will have even less concern if a second or third Democrat jumps into the primary race seeking to knock him off. That would only further split the Democrat vote and guarantee Markey the nomination.
And while there may be a serious Republican out there willing to take the veteran Congressman on in the November election — as opposed to some right- wing yahoo — that candidate has yet to surface.

The Republicans need to find someone who can challenge Markey. He is a low intelligence, Deep State Democrat. There must be SOMEONE who can outshine him! (Of course, it IS Massachusetts, so ANY Dem could win, no matter what. Even the dead woman or live boy scenario wouldn’t deter the Leftists from voting Dem there. Example: Ted Kennedy)

Markey is an exceptionally idiotic man, even by US Congressional standards.
Markey was a somewhat prominent Dem a couple decades ago. I guess he has been cruising lately. Basically retired but taking all the perks of office.
Worse, he is dangerously stupid.
Has not lived in MA for 40 some odd years, but Dems operate in groupthink and group vote.
He is supported by the dangerously stupid.
Doesn’t appear vulnerable to a primary challenger even if there was one, let alone a Republican. Unnecessary article.
If we’re talking Senators dodging bullets then God Damn Jeanne Shaheen is the luckiest one.
This is not what the Founding Fathers had in mind.
