A couple of years ago, I got a copy of Maxim magazine in the mail. Didn't subscribe or anything, they just sent it to me.

Taylor Swift was on the cover. My first thought was, what is a 14 year old boy doing on the cover of Maxim?

See for yourself:

Swift is a native of Reading PA. I live just north of the Lehigh Valley and I find it interesting that none of the local radio stations play her music. The local country station user her name in station promos but they never play her music.

Whenever female celebrities get "woke" and take up activism, it's a sure sign that their career is going south.

Every time.

Unfortunately, I cannot make a difference. I do not recall a Taylor Swift song ever being played on any of my Pandora channels.

Can anyone say, “Dixie Chicks”?

Yup.

I never understand the way these people think:

1) I'm really rich
2) I'm really successful
3) I'm famous and popular and influential.

Therefore ... I need to find a way to tell half my audience that I don't really like them.

Taylor doesn’t believe in freedom. She believes in a dictatorial state in which she and her liberals dictate everything you may or may not do. That’s not what she thinks she is for but it is what she will ultimately get.

It appears to me they are under pressure, in order to secure recording contracts or other career enhancing activities, a condition of employment.

When I was in the .mil career soldiers whether enlisted or commissioned officers had “extra duties”, it wasn’t written down anywhere but there were things one just had to do in order to remain in good standing and help one’s career along. Even spouses had to get in the act. They were good things, but there was no question they weren’t exactly “voluntary”, strictly speaking.

Swift should realize that not all her fans share her Hollywood leftist ideas and they are not buying her albums or going to her concerts to be lectured about what idiots they are. If she wants to contnue to make money with her musical drivel she should STFU and sing.

I guess she didn’t learn from her involvement in 2018.

Do us all a favor Taylor and keep the stupid to yourself.

And she seems to have plenty of it to keep to herself. Its no wonder she feels traumatized by her high school years. She reminds me of the kid you could talk into putting their tongue on the flag pole in the middle of winter. Not the sharpest tack in the drawer. But she can sing!

She’ll have a Vegas show, like Britney in a year.

I started a band a decade ago in Seattle that did all “female pop” songs with my daughters in the band and another couple of “20 somethings”. It really created in me an appreciation for people like Kelly Clarkston, Pink, Swift, and a host of others.

That band really filled a niche.

One of my daughters isn’t very far from you; on highway 100 in Chester County. Have you heard what’s happening in Boyertown? I’m glad my grandkids aren’t in that school district.

They are trying to spin the Dixie Chicks thing as all about the foreign soil. That’s not how I remember it. Maines could have said what she did about Texas anywhere and it would have been just as bad.

Well, maybe half her fan base. Today’s C&W folks aren’t the same as yesterday’s C&W fans. Is she C&W anymore anyway?

Well if they’re dems, they don’t care. They’ll vote wherever, however, whenever and how many times they want to because well, they’re dems and NOBODY puts dems in the corner.
