This is happening all along the border. As bad as this mass scam on asylum, and mass illegal immigration is that is not the worst thing. The worst thing is while Border Patrol is tied up with the people we all hear about the cartels cross drugs and other people who do not want to claim asylum or ask to see an immigration judge. That is the truly scary thing to me.
When Trump put policies in place to enforce those laws judges came out of the woodwork to put injunctions and whatnot to stop the enforcement. This is the height of insanity.
The president has declared an emergency. Under the law establishing congress’ right to overrule, the house tried and failed. The courts have no authority in emergencies. Try responding to an emergency when anyone of 200 federal judges can issue injunctions. That would be suicide.
He never had the votes. Too many in Congress support open borders and illegal immigration. There are at least 12 RINOs that are supporters of this.
I saw a poll a few months ago that said 40% of the American people see no problem with illegal immigration. I know polls are not always accurate but I have been keeping up with border issues for decades and it does seem to reflect what I see when talking to people, posting online.
That means those of us that do not support this better stand up and speak out. We better not vote for anyone that supports open borders, illegal immigration for anything...not even local dog catcher.
Trump cannot fix this alone. If it can be fixed at this point we will have to support him.
Many but not all are considered deportable if they miss a hearing. Like all other immigration things there are a lot of issues. I believe legislation has been introduced to make it automatic if they miss hearing deportation orders will be issued by the court.
When is the last time every policy put in place on any issue been immediately stopped by a judge popping up? How would anyone plan for that?
Our immigration laws are actually for the most part pretty seriously written and if enforced would be fairly effective. There has been little to no enforcement. Who knew enforcing them would be met with complete resistance by the courts?
Without a wall the length of the border how do we actually do that?

That is what is happening. What do you expect Trump to do as far as opposing judges? Do you expect him to ignore the US Supreme Court? This from the Supreme Court in December is the cause of the current asylum flood of people:

The Trump administration is not doing nothing, they are working on many different things and adding things, when something is not working they are trying other things. It is like working our way through a landmine field though.
They are actually trying to get a ruling now that judges cannot interfere...which should have been a given.
This level of resistance is unheard of, that is the problem. It is easy to say well they are against Trump. The truth is the dims and RINOs are against conservatives. He is just representing us, the resistance is because he is fighting back. Make no mistake, it is us they are resisting. We are in the way of their agenda. They are willing to stop at nothing to get their way.
I stated my position on the wall. The judges have no authority to block responses to emergencies. The congress does under the act that governs emergency declarations. The congress acted in this case and failed to overrule. the president should proceed with the wall and tell the judges stand down. THAT IS WHAT I EXPECT I don’t expect 200 judges tall be able to block emergency responses. That’s suicide. The representatives voted in congress and that’s that.
The result is what counts The wall is easily measurable. Clinton in prison is easily observable. Don’t tell me what they are doing. I can see it and what they re not doing after 28 months. I listed my four priorities; he has an F so far in two of them.

Alcatraz and Ellis Island are currently being used as tourist attractions. They could just as well be processing centers, and nobody would be overly upset. Same thing with Ward Island in NYC, and perhaps the Sea Islands would get a shot in the arm from some processing centers. That would mean jobs for the impoverished residents, and exposure to the wider world.
