Basically this argues for immigration, because if American men are not fixing cars and household things, they will need to hire cheap foreign men to do it for them.

People who can fix cars can fix all kinds of things, and the thinking and doing process they learn is extremely valuable. In fact that process is very helpful to designing and making things. The author probably thinks there is no reason for that skill either, since if you need to move around you just run the Uber or Lyft application. He forgets that somebody actually has to design and make all the stuff he likes to use.
Programming at a serious level is a wonderful skill. But it isn't something you learn to do in a weekend. And the best software engineers usually are pretty good at fixing cars too.
As for the supposedly new skill of working in groups, or getting along with diverse groups of people, people both male and female have been doing that since the beginning of time. Somehow, perhaps due to their limited social experience, many college students and young people think being able to relate to someone of the opposite sex, or someone who looks different than you do is a real achievement. Apparently they didn't learn that organically at a young age as most of us did.
Just reading that makes me want to fight the guy.
