Wells Fargo and TD Bank have turned over President Trump’s financial records to the House Financial Services Committee, Fox News confirmed on Thursday, amid a contentious legal battle between the Trump administration and congressional Democrats seeking access to sensitive files.
The committee, led by Chairwoman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., is one of several panels that have issued subpoenas and requests for Trump’s financial files.

Show me the law, which authorizes handing banking records over to Congress.
Another post says that NY state created a law to do this. Amazing. However, the original laws which Trump and others opened their accounts under did not allow this. Seems like post-de-facto law making. Breech of original contract. What kind of governing is this?

I think it will go sideways, if and when certain Governors have said that enough is enough. While I think Florida is already a done deal, if the other Southeastern states, up through the midwest just said, NO, something big could happen.
Call it what you will, but a Russian academic has predicted that the US will break up due to its financial strain. I’d also add to that, its “cultural strain”. The two sides cannot coexist much longer, if even now. Some have said that this paper is nothing more than propaganda or whatever. Maybe. He states that the country will break up into 6 parts.
IMHO, it’s hard to see where he’s wrong. Take Chicago and Detroit out of the equation and tell me where all the big spending, high welfare, high illegal alien, high homeless population centers are. They are the coastal, liberal, democrat controlled states and cities. Where the gap between the rich and poor gets wider every day. Each of these states/cities, is gradually becoming more and more like the city, Panem, in The Hunger Games.

However, if this were to happen, I see the country splitting up into 3 separate locations. Alaska and Hawaii will be on their own, unfortunately for them. While I could care less about Hawaii, I’d hate to see Alaska fall into the wrong hands(China, Russia, or Canada....yikes).
The West Coast is going to be the West Coast. The East Coast will go from New England and works it’s way down to about halfway through North Carolina. While North Carolina has let the northern liberals and illegals shift the voting demographics, in Charlotte & Raligh-Durham, it’s still a pretty Red state, overall.
The Southeast, going west, through Texas and then North to Canada will unite, I’m thinking. But, then you’ll see western parts of Pennsylvania wanting in, as well as western Virgina, southern Indiana-Illinois-Ohio, pretty much all of Michigan except for ‘Troit. Then you’ll have certain parts of Western Maryland and even the western half of New Jersey and everything, north and west of the NYC metro area except for the big cities.
And wouldn’t you know it, that chunk of land in the middle is where all the farm land is, the oil, natural gas, most of the military bases. It’ll be like one big giant reset. Of course, many in the newly formed liberal coastal utopia’s will quickly want to flee. Some of them will be God-fearing Conservatives who got stuck in those dumps. Others will the very liberals that caused the problems in the first place, but they’re too arrogant and dumb to accept responsibility.
I guess it’s hard to shut down the country’s largest mortgage lender.

And then they screwed their customers over, again. Some folks lost their homes because of what they described as a computer glitch.
