Conservatives should take a look at CNN and MSNBC every now and then just to understand what is out there. My son is home from college for the summer. I work at home, and he thinks that it’s funny to turn the television on this crap, then quietly leave the room with me stuck on Morning Joe or some other garbage. It’s a freakshow. They really believe that Trump could be thrown in the dungeon at any moment. While Fox News is mostly better, and has a much larger audience, a lot of people still get their news from CNN.
It’s perfectly natural to want to watch programming that affirms (or at least doesn’t crap on) your personal beliefs. It’s also perfectly natural to want to live in a suburb that has the demographics that your hometown had 50 years ago. The danger in this is that you start to not really believe that the societal decay is for real. Morning Joe reflects the values of Hillary voters. She won the popular vote.
