A Washington, D.C.-based federal judge has sided with House Oversight Committee Democrats seeking to enforce their subpoena of Trump accounting firm Mazars USA, in a major ruling that breathes new life into Democrats' ongoing efforts to probe the president's financial dealings.
The subpoena seeks access to a slew of Trump financial documents dating back to 2011, including personal records and records of various affiliated business and entities. Democrats pursued the subpoena after former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen testified to Congress in February that the president's accountants routinely and improperly altered his financial statements -- including some signed by Mazars -- to misrepresent his assets and liabilities.
Barack Obama-appointed judge Amit P. Mehta's 41-page opinion began by comparing President Trump's concerns about congressional overreach to those of President James Buchanan, asserting that Trump "has taken up the fight of his predecessor."

Don’t know if Trump can do this, but he needs to do everything he can to withhold these records (if possible) until the supreme court rules.

I mean there is not one word in the US Constitution that requires a President to submit tax returns. Thus, there can be no impeachable offense as a consequence.

I’ve been a litigator for over 25 years. Liberal judges generally do not follow the law.
Same type of abuse happened in Wisconsin. The homes of Walker supporter were raided at the crack of dawn with SWAT teams, all to seize computer hard drives. Meanwhile a Kennedy or any lib with a felony charge against him can negotiate a peaceful surrender.

This is already being investigated by federal investigators in ny. Imho, his personal finances are personal, but they are looking at expenditures and donations regarding the inauguration. Once again, Trump is being open and transparent with documents.p
The senate should subpoena Obama’s College records to ensure proper legislative action.
You are indulging in some wishful thinking. This sort of thing only applies when Democrats do it to Republicans. When Democrats do it, there is no precedent set. Democrats will continue to ignore court rulings, congressional subpoenas etc, just as they always have. Democrats know they can do whatever they want, there are never any repercussions.
