Blumenthal, who is one of the Clintons’ closest political allies, was involved in shopping around a report that contained some of the same allegations about Donald Trump that were included in Steele’s document. That eight-page report was authored by Cody Shearer, another longtime Clinton insider who is close friends with Blumenthal.
Both Shearer and Blumenthal are considered controversial figures. Shearer first came to prominence in the early 1990s after he peddled false allegations that then-Vice President Dan Quayle bought marijuana from a man who was in prison at the time. Blumenthal helped stoke false rumors in the 2008 campaign that Barack Obama was not born in the U.S.

Trey “When you are innocent, act like it” Gowdy obviously saw all of this while he was in still in Congress. Why wasn’t he sounding the alarm then? He did nothing but attack POTUS and cover for the Deep State/do nothing Amnesty Ryan on his way out of the door. Pretty amazing he dares to pull this now.

If this type of damning evidence is out there it is pretty apparent that the Justice Department has some bombshells of it’s own that the POTUS does not wish to expose. For over 2 years the republicans have just hinted the details that a coup was attempted. No one has had the balls to prosecute the evil doers for a reason.
I was at first impressed with Gowdy until I realized he was all talk. Nothing ever came of anything he did or exposed. Nothing.
Blumenthal and his sidekick (forgotten his name) both need jail time in this. They very likely ghost wrote the dossier, and persuaded Steele to put his name on it. How much money did Steele get paid for putting his name on it?
Gowdy made the rounds giving Fake News TV interviews during the campaign season bashing POTUS and downplaying Spygate. It was obviously orchestrated. Probably by Ryan in an attempt to throw the House to the Dems.

You’re right. Gowdy slow walked this. But he’s not the only one. Nunes is the only one who made any effort. The GOP let him dangle with no support.
