Disgraced former congressman Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner has completed his sentence for sending sexual text messages to an underage girl.
“It’s good to be out,” Weiner said, with a heavy dose of optimism. “I hope to be able to live a life of integrity and service. I’m glad this chapter of my life is behind me.” But Weiner will remain registered as a level 1 sex offender — categorized as such because of a “low risk of repeat offense” despite his numerous indiscretions.
Weiner’s sentence came after a series of sexual indiscretions torpedoed his political aspirations, culminating in a conviction for “obscene” sexually explicit messages exchanged with a 15-year-old North Carolina girl. At his sentencing, Weiner, crying, called himself a “very sick man.”
Weiner was sentenced to 21 months, but was released after just 18 months for good behavior. He was further required pay a $10,000 fine, and register as a sex offender upon his release. Weiner and his wife reportedly sought a quiet divorce, settling privately to avoid “further embarrassment” to their son Jordan.

Being a sex fiend is like a drug or alcohol addict.
You would think that someone, faced with those harsh realities would realize "sending these sex messages isn't worth it" and even "I am such an idiot". And maybe even get professional help to try to change his behavior.
I don't know if he did seek help, but if so it obviously didn't work. Now he's not only an ex-Congressman by a convicted felon and registered sex offender with a minor.
It's a pretty long fall, but I still would not be surprised to see him re-offend. Because most sex offenders do. It's an overwhelming compulsion, apparently. Or they are sociopaths and think they won't get caught (again, in his case).
Either way I won't be surprised to hear more from him at some point in the future, none of it good.

There are four levels of sex offenders under Arkansas law. The levels represent the likelihood the offender will re-offend, with 1 being the least likely to re-offend and 4 being a sexually violent predator. Sex offenders in risk levels 1, 2, and 3 are required to re-register at the sheriff’s office every six months.
