Time means different things to different people. Not that I’m
in a time constraint but I use the self check out when I have a
few items only. Large amount I go and wait thru the line.

I like Sam’s Club. When placing the items in my cart I just make sure the UPC is visible. Then when I get to the self checkout, all I have to do is point, shoot and count.
I prefer to pump my own gas as well. I used to work in the filling station business and you wouldn’t believe the number of ways the attendants can rip you off (unless you have been an attendant). An added benefit is I’m the only one who handles my credit card and I haven’t lost a gas cap in 35 years.
I’ve been using the Sams Club phone app for a year now. I scan the item when I put it in my basket. When I’m done shopping, I “Pay Now”.
I walk out the store showing the scan code to the exit person who scans my code.
Easy-Peasy. I love it.
“Gun Control”...is hitting your target.
Then Press, reset, press...
“Mother will be showing up with kindergarten graduation picture in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...”
I wonder if those “teens” would use crayons when filling out summer job applications that asked the question: “What is your highest level of educational achievement?” (I know this wouldn’t have happened in real life...at least the part about filling out a summer job application).

First I heard that checking receipts is against the law. You cannot leave a Costco in California with a cart unless the door checkers runs a check on your cart’s contents against the printed receipt.
I do not know about CA. I am speaking of Houston.
