Ill believe it when I see it wrt a recession.
The manufacturing job gains will also be on him
Yes but for you, the wrong reason
The China tax imposed in the form of tariffs is intended to promote exports to China, not to raise revenue.
If Americans chose to pay more for the Chinese goods, nothing is accomplished except they pay the China tax. Trump called Xi’s bluff. We will now see how China reacts to being hit with strong retaliation to the unfair trade practices.
Most of those gains will be in Vietnam, Indonesia and Eastern Europe. Those folks don't vote here.
Yes, you will.
I would say a lot of manufacturing will return here. Extra shifts, new facilities etc. Out exports will increase too. India said they will drop their tariffs on our goods.
Fixed it for you.
It will be far less than people think. And much of it will be automated.
Bull. The pressure to add shifts an new facilities here will be tremendous.
So, at root, you are in favor of raising taxes. Like a good union steward, you are at root a tax and spend leftist
Companies are under pressure in the US to pay the floor sweeper $20 per hour plus benefits. They don't get that in Vietnam.
The people who are really going to benefit are Gov’t apparatchiks who have found a nice new income stream.
Increasing tariffs increases the bureaucracy by 0 apparatchiks.
An additional $100 billion will bring more hogs to the trough. The tariff industrial complex.
I am confused. Your solution to Chinese domination and intellectual theft?
I mean their current domination achieve by unfair trade practices and slave labor.
TPP. But we blew that.
So, a secretive trade organization that is run by European countries that favored large corporations and crushed small companies intellectual rights. There was an awful lot wrong with TPP if you’re an American and not a member of the new world order.
MOU to Xj, bring it.
First of all, the Trans Pacific Partnership is a treaty, not an organization. Second, it's a treaty that the US built. Third, the signatories were: Australia, Brunei, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, US, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam. Zero Europeans were involved.
