Remember how outraged the Democrats were when a Republican said he wanted to make Obama a one term President? Now it’s perfectly OK with them to say that about Trump.

Pelosi and the house democrats will have to do everything possible in order to try to stop a Trump second term. That’s why they will vote to impeach Trump, because they believe that the “impeachment cloud” will always be hovering over Trump’s head during his campaign. At every democratic party rally, it will campaign speeches will be about “no impeached president should ever be allowed to run again, much less win a second term”. Impeachment is nothing more than a political tool to try to stop Trump, even if it’s completely out-of-line and uncalled for and without merit.
So, Nadler and Pelosi are just trying to figure out the best way and the best time to pull the trigger on impeachment.
I’m pretty sure the stunt won’t work and democrats will regret doing it, because Trump will win by a much bigger margin than if he hadn’t been impeached. And the stunt will help republicans win the house back and increase their majority in the senate.
...because the Senate did not convict him.
