Trump retweets Jerry Falwell Jr. suggesting his term should be extended by two years

President Trump on Sunday retweeted a post from Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. that said Trump’s first term should be extended by two years as payback "for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup."

Falwell, an avid and vocal supporter of Trump, was alluding to the recently completed investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election that special counsel Robert Mueller conducted.

"After the best week ever for @realDonaldTrump - no obstruction, no collusion, NYT admits @BarackObama did spy on his campaign, & the economy is soaring. I now support reparations-Trump should have 2 yrs added to his 1st term as pay back for time stolen by this corrupt failed coup," Falwell tweeted.

Trump followed up the retweet with tweets of his own alleging two years of his presidency were "stollen" that "we will never be able to get back."

I’m still trying to figure out what exactly was stolen? Was Trump not president? Did he not make appointments? Were his tax cuts not passed? What went missing?

I don’t think anyone is serious here. Falwell is just stating that the last 2 years have been stymied by the investigation. It’s hyperbole or a tongue in cheek statement. Trumps reply recognises the truth of the last two years and tips its lid to the tongue in cheek comment. I know Dems have no sense of humor. Lets not fall into the same trap.

He will make this tweet, then the Democrats will talk about it for a week.

Hardly. Madow and O'Donnell will mock him for it on their shows tonight, CNN will joke about it today, and then it'll be over.

‘Madow and O’Donnell will mock him for it on their shows tonight, CNN will joke about it today, and then it’ll be over.’

...as if they won’t anyway?

Personally, I prefer a fighter like Trump than one who lives in fear of Madow, O’Donnell, or CNN...because I do not, and neither does Trump.

No, this is great to make the left wing media’s head explode. I bet they’re going to lead with this for the next news cycle.

Trump has their number, all of them.

The democrats are stupid politicians, and the GOP never realized that.

Trump walks into the presidency, and kicks the chairs.

They think they’re playing with children.

“Stymied how?”

How about immigration and healthcare to start with — two of his basic promises? With the current House critters, and their liberal judges on secret retainer, he has been stymied in accomplishing those. And there are many, smaller, issues where they have stymied him.

The biggest promise of his that I’m dying to see is: “LOCK HER UP!”

I can’t believe that some people on FR don’t recognize it was a joke.

By the time Trump’s done, the Dems will be grateful he was only our president for 8 years!

Only if it fits their agenda. TDS is strong among the humorless.

‘You’re new here, aren’t you?’

Looks that way. Joined right after Romney lost in 2012.

Most of the tweets are mocking Trump for not only the idea but misspelling "stolen" in his tweet.

Misspellings drive social media engagement and spread the message to more people...as intended.

And do you honestly believe that they wouldn't have done the same Mueller investigation or no Mueller investigation? McCain would still have detested Trump and done all he could to block his plans. The Democrats would still be in lock-step against him on immigration and healthcare because there is no willingness to work together on either side. Liberal judges would still be liberal judges. In the grand cosmic scheme of things the Mueller investigation changed nothing in terms of what Trump could have done and what he has done.

Six years. I believe that still counts as new.
