I just went to the link you provided. Unbelievable.
I could hardly continue reading the article, it was so bad, and yet, I am sure that the true facts are far, far worse than what I could or would want to imagine.
God help us, and those poor girls.
And God, please bring YOUR justice on those who participate in this atrocity in any way.
“most of them hate women at some level”
I find it sad you think that, APL. Do you honestly believe that?
I did not know that, but it comes as no surprise, given his history.
And he passed himself off as a Christian.
“No, it all cannot be true. But it can be highly hyped and exaggerated and used to remove constitutional protections.”
What is that even supposed to mean? It cannot ALL be true so none of it is?
There is a growing problem with sex exploitation, and a lot of it is out in the open. We have little boys and girls being paraded in sexualized outfits by the LGBT crowd in public shows, TV shows, parades, etc.
The left is out there screaming how these things are their rights.
And then we have people on a conservative forum who want to defend pornography and prostitution.
These are not “Constitutional rights” BTW, whatever you have been taught. Hopefully, these are not what you are referring to as being in danger.
It isn’t a new problem, but it seems the sheer SCALE of the problem is now the problem. In days gone by (actually not that long ago - in living memory for a lot of people), people would have to receive pornographic materials in plain brown wrappers sent through the mails. Then Hugh Hefner came along, “adult” stores, mainstream porn at movie theaters. Then it all broke loose with the Internet delivering anything you want directly to you wherever you are.
I’m watching a Netflix / Canadian serial TV show called “Frontier” about trappers and the Hudson Bay Company in Eastern Canada in the late 1700s. It overlays all of our modern ills (extreme violence; homosexuality; kind Indians/evil white man; Amazonian women fighters) on those people back then. It’s beautifully photographed, but that’s about all that’s good about it.
We've all been treated poorly by the opposite sex.
And it's not always our own fault.
Do some introspection and then don't take the blame if it's not yours to take.
I was under the impression that according to religious teachings, man's nature is inherently sinful, otherwise they wouldn't need redemption. Thus, as I said, this is the nature of men.
As for your contention that “most of them hate women at some level” all I can say is that I was always a perfect gentleman to every woman I ever dated.
But after literally decades of rejection, one becomes cautious and somewhat bitter. Being “friend zoned” is just a cowardly substitute for a flat rejection. Actually, I would rather part with my erstwhile romantic interests on bad terms — at least it’s more honest.
“You’re such a nice guy and you’ll find someone someday,” is just a mealy mouthed way of saying “You’re a nice guy but I still think I’m too good for you.”
And no, I’m not deformed, demented, or destitute. Just a regular guy, although decidedly on the scholarly side, which I suppose is a turnoff for many women. That and the fact that I’m not rich, although I have few complaints about my standard of living — own my house, no debts, plenty of books, and a good cigar now and then.
The sheer scale isn’t new.
Ubiquitous cameras have torn away the veil.
The truth Society hid from in disbelief is now revealed in pictures.
I didn't know that merely pointing out the Patriarchs tendency to have multiple women at their sexual disposal was a "negative smear." It's true, isn't it? Didn't King David and King Solomon and others have multiple wives, concubines, and slaves? It's not a smear if it's true. And I point it out because it is proof positive that simple "Godliness" does not translate to compassion for women. Indeed, a look at the 10 Commandments (4 about honoring God, 0 forbidding rape, for example) tells us that protection of women was never a high priority in Judeo-Christian tradition.
That would be the corrupted nature of man, but it is NOT what God intended.
Redemption resets the nature of man, bringing it back into line with God’s intent and design. That’s why in highly genuine Christian cultures, this sort of thing would not be heard of.
For any adult to participate in this in any way, through action, or inaction when they know about it, I would call their salvation into question.
NO ONE can condone that kind of behavior and act and call themselves a follower of Christ.
I do, yes.
Let me love you, or let me hate you, eh? Those are the options. Great.
I do agree with you, however even though we all are born in sin, there are truly good people who would never consider doing these types of disgusting acts unlike these people described in the article who seem to relish in evil.
I was simply making the point that human sexuality and sex drive are not inherently evil. It was created by God as something beautiful and has been twisted by Satan and and embraced by both evil men AND women.
“When in doubt: if you notice yourself getting riled up, pause. Take a breath. Ask yourself why youre having that reaction. There’s a good chance its by design.”
Sure, If it makes you angry it must just be propaganda—not something real. No worries. Nothing to see here. Just move along.
You could apply your statement to a smoke alarm. Maybe some things deserve for people to react by being alarmed.
We see things like this out in the open constantly: children being pushed into puberty blockers and drugs designed to mimic the physical characteristics of the opposite sex. Children being allowed (or is it really forced / coerced / manipulated?) into “sex change” operations.
Abortion is rampant. It is directly tied to underage sex and all forms of prostitution. A quick glance at some of these online forums will tell you sex for money, aka prostitution, is being advertised. Porn and “adult entertainment” is a huge industry and is deeply connected with organized crime.
Advising people to stick their heads in the sand is the worst kind of advice for anyone who wants to know the truth and wants to make a difference.
There are folks on this forum who want to promote the myth that prostitution and drugs are victimless crimes. Either they live in a fantasy world in which some people actually enjoy being tortured and abused, or worse, they wish to convince others this stuff isn’t really happening even when they know it is happening. What would be the motive of such a person?
My point is, the path is narrow and most won't walk it. They prefer to simply let their carnal desires rule them. It's easier.
Is there something about *Thou shalt not commit adultery* that you missed?
And while rape per se, is not mentioned in the Ten Commandments, is not a reflection of the importance of the issue. Lots of things are not mentioned in the Ten that are dealt with in other areas of the Law.
The Ten Commandments is not meant to be a throughout treatment of all people's relations with each other, as much as a summary.
It's all expounded on in the rest of the Law.
Legalization of man-girl love is entirely a precursor to man-boy love.
