SOMERS, CT (WFSB) – A picture posted on social media of a Somers student portraying black face is under investigation.
The superintendent, Brian Czapla, released a statement on Monday saying the picture was posted over the weekend by a high school student.
“We do not condone any type of racism, bigotry, or hateful actions towards individuals or groups. This is not the type of behavior or beliefs we expect from our students,” Czapla said in the statement.
The girl had on black face in the post along with the ""n" word.
"You knew what you were doing, you're not five, your 17-years-old. You knew what you were doing when you put that on your face. You knew what you were doing when you took a picture of it, and you definitely knew what you were doing when you posted it for everyone to see," said Ashanti Brown.

How many bets on whether or not a student would fear posting themseless holding a pic of the president’s severed head (a la fugly idiot female comedian)?
The one useful thing about colleges doing this idiocy is that it does give parents a clear indication that the college has no standards except double ones.
yes, she knew what she was doing because she was on her personal account, off school premises, on her own time.
Regardless of the disgust one may feel about WHAT she posted, it is completely within her right to do so and there’s not a dam! thing the school can or should do about it.

I do not see Black Face as an insult outright.
If a racial point is being made, denigrating Blacks through roll playing, then it could be bad.
If it’s just a play or some other event, so what?

PUnishing her would be a hateful action, and the person said they don’t allow hateful actions, so I presume they will protect this idiot from all the violence people are threatening her with because she put on black makeup and wrote 6 letters together.
