What I out recently, which was really quite surprising, the dossier, which really has got a lot of garbage in it and Mueller found that to be the case, early in building the intelligence community assessment on Russian interference in an early draft, they actually put the dossier on page two in kind of a breakout box. I think it was the CIA pushing this, real intelligence experts looked at this and said no, this is not intelligence, this is garbage and they took it out.

We now know Mifsud's intel founding connections were Western, not Russian. Mifsud's planting the idea that the Russians supposedly had Hillary email dirt was just done (with full FBI knowledge, as it came via the FBI legate) to hear it repeated to-then-by Alex Downer, the Aussie's Intel chief, giving it 5Eyes credibility. How convenient to use a 5Eeyes loophole to spy and report on Papadopoulos, the American, without a FISA warrant!
Of course, the FBI had this info (from both Downer and Papadopoulos) since March of 2016 yet didn't do anything with it until the day after Nellie Ohr met with Christopher Steele in July, with Strzok and McCabe pretending it was Papadopoulos' Hillary-dirt info from Papadopoulos that kicked off the counterintel op. The whole set-up was an FBI echo-chamber, just like feeding the Yahoo-Isikoff interview of Steele to be represented as media corroboration of the Steele dossier for the FISA warrant.
Starting the FBI investigation as a counter-intel op was convenient because of the perception (as by LPage) that it was common for such an operation to be begun on almost no information at all, which is belied by all the legal protections for FISA and against spying on political campaigns. They were just trying to excuse themselves from having to produce Woods procedures information showing probable cause of an actual crime.
And let's not even start on how Carter Page was a previous informant, sent to Russia by the FBI. To pretend he at that stage represents Russian interests as if he's a Russian informant sent to spy on the Trump campaign is a position without any credibility.
Halper can only be considered a decades-long US Deep State (and City of London) asset that Obama Rockefeller would send to Trump to spy on the Trump campaign. The same holds for Sam Clovis who offered the Papadopoulos his Trump campaign advisor job. Obama admitted sending such operatives, ostensibly to protect the Trump Campaign and American interests, but inasmuch as it would have been his, the FBI and DOJ's responsibility to inform Trump and the campaign that that was being done out of concern to protect against inappropriate Russian influence, Obama's actions are outed as lies, certainly doubly so as they're diametrically opposite to his Lynch, Yates, Comey meeting claimedly (per Rice) charging them "to do everything by the book." (Thus we can all see how important Rice's CYA memo to herself was in the hour before PDJT's inauguration.)

Intelligence agencies do not knowingly collect and analyze unverifiable information. The Russians would not have assembled unverified information on Trump as a possible intelligence target. They would have verified and incorporated proof into their internal reports.
80,000 deleted emails were recovered and suppressed by the FBI but he still talks about “8 minutes of erased tapes”.
If Woodward just found “out about this recently”, he is either blind and deaf, or dumber than a box of rocks. I wouldn’t rule out both.
