The Obama DOJ & FBI along with James Clapper & John Brennan then preceded onward to bring down a fairly elected POTUS. They also failed miserably and many of them will soon be in orange jump suits serving prison time, rightfully so.
But...the saga continues. but this time it will take down Democrat, buffoons, freaks & failures Jerrold Nadler & Adam Schiff along with the entire Democrat Party and its faithful twisted bias Media.
Democrat, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is having a conference call tomorrow where she will take the step of ordering the POTUS, DJT impeachment...which in due time will have become the call that finally destroyed the Democrat Party for all time. Trump will easily survive, Pelosi and her Democrat Party will not!!!
If Nancy Pelosi has any brains...which I doubt she has any,...she will call for the immediate shutdown of all Democrat investigations and with that action she will save the Democrat Party, politically for the oncoming future. The choice is hers!!!
All I know is that almost immediately after the fire an announcer on Fox said that Notre Dame is NOT owned by the Catholic church.

Your point regarding the Catholic Charities and contribution that you give your local church are indeed correct.
The laity for the most part have always been sheep. There is some movement in some Catholic churches where you can see the level of donations is WAY down - just look at their local bulletins. This is definitely the case in my Dioceses where the existing WHITE neighborhood parishioners have stopped giving and many are now attending mass at diff. perishes. In our case this reflects on the local Priest and the Arch Bishop of Houston-Galveston

I say this to remind you that the Dem. primary voters - especially in Dem heavy districts (California) will push as far to the left as NAZIsm allows.
