Time names Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh on 100 most influential people list

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's testimony against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh captivated the attention of the nation and the world last fall. Now, Time magazine's annual list of the world's 100 most influential people has brought them into the spotlight again — with both receiving a coveted spot in the edition.

Sen. Kamala Harris, a Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee who took part in the confirmation hearings, wrote a moving tribute for the magazine about Blasey Ford.

"Her courage, in the face of those who wished to silence her, galvanized Americans," wrote Harris, who is also a 2020 presidential candidate. "And her unfathomable sacrifice, out of a sense of civic duty, shined a spotlight on the way we treat survivors of sexual violence."

I just saw a segment on the news about this. I completely forgot how ridiculous her rehearsed “baby-voice” was during her testimony. Insanely phony! I’ve seen her talk at other times in a perfectly normal voice, but she talked like a slow second grader in front of the Senate. She was literally whisper-lisping.
