Nice first step.
Tell me, during your search, did you find any that weren't useless?
Asking for a friend.
Both DOEs are prime candidates!

CA....
Next department that needs to be axed....
Homeland Security.
It has failed in its mission to stop the enemy from attacking the country, and now, we have an invasion from the southern border and an influx of foreigners intent on doing harm to the country, like Ilhan Omar. We are worse off now than before 9/11.
Senior Executive Service.
These are the political appointees that are at the top of the federal agencies and are supposed to serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.
In most cases, when a Democrat becomes President, a vast majority of SES are let go and replaced with people the new President wants. Over the years I have seen that Republican Presidents keep a vast majority of them because the Press has a conniption fit when they get fired, even though the President has every legal right to let them go.
When Clinton took office I saw several SES hired on as GS15 Federal employees so they could keep jobs withing the government. The ones I saw stayed in the DoD and kept working on the programs they once headed, just at lower pay and reduced responsibilities.
Wow, GS-15. That would be some good cash for me.
The reasons for DHS included the fact that the several agencies brought together under the DHS umbrella had considerable overlap in responsibilities and serious problems sharing and communicating with one another. And, in theory, the overall cost of operating DHS should have been considerably less than the separate agencies totaled. I don’t know if it turned out that way.
Yipee! This allows PDJT to get rid of the Obama people who are holding back Trumps nominees! They have been a roadblock to PDJT. Go get them POTUS!
DoD personnel who hold or have ever held security clearances were compromised when the Chinese hacked into the OPM databases a few years ago. I'm not sure how security clearances are investigated and granted, but I do know that personal information was compromised.
It does make sense for DoD to investigate, grant, and safeguard information related to security clearances. There are a few other functions of OPM that I wonder where they will go. For example, when I hire a new employee and they want a pay raise or vacation credits (because they were contractors that I hired as employees), I consult the OPM for guidance on how to handle their requests. I don't know where I will look for that regulatory guidance once the OPM is disbanded.
OPM is a disaster to deal with. One dept doesnt and some refuse to rcommunicate with the other. What are the very worst are the depts that are contracted out. The contracted depts are a nightmare. . I hope they get it organized and running efficiently.
Trump is used to running his businesses without waste, abuse, redundancy, etc. I am sure he’s got laid out plans for the US gov. Now that the Russia Hoax is over, he will get more aggressive, I am sure.
So in 80 or so years, only the Good Lord knows how many have been added.
But this has been the FIRST TIME someone saw a reason to get rid of one.
Good work if you can get it.
Every month. :)
Eliminating something in the federal government is always a good day!
It may be eliminated by name only. Its basically a huge Human Resources department. Employment, hiring, insurance, back ground checks, payroll - all go thru various departments in OPM.
Theyve been hacked more than once.
A close friend has turned down the promotion to a 15 and has stayed a 14 for that very reason. Once a 15 (SES), they own you - she says.
“...Theyre not God....”
They want to think they are.
looks like it attracts and pays leftists in government leadership positions who then can control.
Another layer of pigs in this Animal Farm.
How many millions did they spend on evaluating all these alphabet orgs?
We deserve and NEED more of them to be shuttered
