I’m think he just figured out that he was left to be one of the fall guys for the whole unlawful surveillance, since he put his name on one of the FISA warrants, and so now he is out to save his own skin.
No, they want him to say he can't release the full report, so they can continue to blame everything on him and Trump.
That way, they can, without evidence, continue to malign Trump, Barr and conservatives as racists, bigots, etc.
They (Dems) don't want the truth. They only want an issue that they can use to bludgeon conservatives with, as their cheerleaders in the media spur them on.

Trump was being informed about activity in the FBI. It is almost certain that it was not only one person keeping him informed. It is almost certain that it was several people.
