Devin Nunes Sends Criminal Referrals to AG Barr Alleging ‘Potential Violations’ in Russia Probe

Republican Congressman Devin Nunes has forwarded a criminal referral notification to U.S. Attorney General William Barr alleging several “potential violations” of the law perpetrated during the Russia investigation.

The ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee said he is prepared to brief Barr on the alleged misconduct he feels occurred during the investigation into the Trump campaign during the 2016 campaign, Fox News reported.

The allegations Nunes is alerting the Department of Justice about were turned up during the time the GOP held the majority in the House.

Nunes insisted that the review conducted by the House Intelligence Committee over the last two years found the “potential” violations.

“Nunes has been looking into such surveillance and other issues for months,” Fox reported. “In his letter Thursday to Barr, Nunes said he would have his staff arrange a time for him and Ratcliffe, R-Texas, to ‘brief you directly on eight criminal referrals.'”

The letter did not detail any of the violations Nunes is talking about. But in other interviews, Nunes said he has been working on these referrals for two years but wanted to wait until the Mueller report was released before pursuing them.

I read that 5 are individuals and 3 referrals relate to conspiracies which would capture groups of the criminals.

Also, Nunes (or Jordan) had indicated there could be more referrals coming.

Not if, but when, democrats try to hinder/stop the investigations into those that initiated the Trump/Russia collusion farce......

Won’t democrats be guilty of OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE?

With Barr looking into the spying of the Trump campaign, democrats are already calling him biased and are doing all they can, at the moment, to head him off at the pass. That’s obstruction into investigations. Anyone that speaks against the investigation or does anything to hinder the investigation, should be brought up on charges of obstruction.

They are protected by the Constitution and they know it. They cannot be prosecuted for investigations they conduct..............

I'm talking about investigations conducted by the DOJ and FBI and initiated by the Attorney General, Barr.

Certainly, no senator or congress-person is above the law, and obstruction an investigation is not protected by law nor by their positions. If the president is not above the law, neither are members of congress.

They can pester and impede investigations simply by sending subpoenas and demanding records and constant harassment of officials with frivolous demands.................................

That's the exact definition of obstruction of justice. Once an investigation is initiated, it cannot be obstructed by any means, including harassment by congress or frivolous demands.

Submitting these criminal referrals means nothing to me. What will mean something is indictment happen. Referral is just horse shi! as usual. I bet you now that if any indictments occur it will be sometime in July or August and no prison for anyone for at least a year. Remember talk, talk, talk, talk. Nothing new. Lost all faith a long time ago.

Senator Clinton is clearly above the law as are many of her colleagues and associates. There is no way that ordinary citizens could get away with what she and her ilk have.

There clearly is a two tiered system of “justice” in this country. One for the elites and another, more punative one for the masses.

It’s true that a referral from a Congressman means little more than a letter from any citizen. I believe it’s been decades since such referrals got an indictment much less a conviction.
