Ohio Legislature Passes ‘Heartbeat Bill’ - Now Ready For Gov. DeWine’s Signature
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | 04/10/19 | Maggie Prosser

While Ohio has reached this stage twice before, the measure was vetoed both times by Gov. John Kasich. But new Gov. Mike DeWine has promised to sign the bill, which would ban abortions, except to save the life of the woman, once a fetal heartbeat is detected. It was unclear Wednesday how quickly the legislation would reach DeWine’s desk or how long he would wait to add his signature.

Cincinnati Right to Life labeled the measure “the nation’s strongest pro-life bill,” while Senate Democrats said it “would become the most extreme abortion ban in the country.”

The leftwing rats will file a suit to get an injunction within minutes of the signing, then the usual agonizing crawl through the legal system to the SCOTUS, when who knows what Roberts and Kavanaugh will do.

Roe vs Wade was simply a horrible ruling. Even Ginsburg said it went too far.

It's also responsible for the deep divisions in this country now. States had their own laws prior to 1973 on abortion. That's the way it should be.

Roberts is on the take in any close vote. The Democrats clearly have something on him.

He is sort of the John McCain of the Supreme Court.

Kasich turned out to be a real scumbag. Used to call himself a conservative. What the heck happened to that guy?

It's an excellent statement...but we know that an Obola appointee will strike it down within 90 seconds of it having been signed.

No, that’s not a right retained by states or even individuals per the Tenth Amendment.

JFTR, I’m referring to laws that legalize the murder of babies in the womb.

The only thing the Democrats have “on him” is his loyalty and shared ideology.

That seems to be the point of these laws, to crash against these judicial hacks like a tidal wave.
