The collusion lie will go down in history as one of the strangest distortions of reality to dominate the American political scene. For more than two years, the national establishment and news media were fixated on a “truth” that turned out to be false.
In some ways, this national psychosis is reminiscent of the popular madness that would run through medieval societies from time to time. Think of the flagellants going from city to city beating themselves to exorcise their sins. Think of the madness that surrounded Friar Girolamo Savonarola when he ruled Florence from 1494 to 1498.
In our own country, think of the hysteria of the Salem witchcraft trials in 1692 and 1693, when more than 200 people were accused of witchcraft. Fourteen women and five men were found guilty and hanged. A sixth man was pressed to death with stones.
On Oct. 30, 1938, Orson Welles terrified millions of Americans with a fake news broadcast reporting aliens had invaded Earth. Based on the H.G. Wells book, “The War of the Worlds,” Welles presented it so vividly that many Americans panicked, thinking they were listening to a genuine newscast of a real invasion from outer space.
The difference between the fake collusion myth and Welles’s frightening broadcast was that by Oct. 31, 1938, Americans understood the story of the invasion was a fiction. Conversely, the liberal media, Democrats and anti-Trump Republicans have been able to keep their collusion falsehood alive for over two years.
The biggest cost of this big lie project is the diversion of attention from all the real threats to America.
China has been launching multiple strategic offensives that threaten to create a Chinese global hegemony in our lifetime.

That depends on who writes the history and to a certain extent that depends on all of us. If the democraps win in 2020, history might go down the memory hole.
Yellow journalism and the yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales.[1]
Few people read, let alone study the history books, and the better history books recognize that popular press is an unreliable source of fact.
Imagine a history of the Soviet Union, based on Pravda. We have the same situation, just more outlets to give an illusion of independent media.
At any rate, history is presently down the memory hole. What’s really fascinating is how few people understand that present day reality is deliberately hidden and misrepresented, never mind how history will be recorded. The DEMs have delcared war on reality!

If the GOP, politicians, ‘journalists’, etc. do not/will not challenge this stuff NOW ... in ‘real time’, it’s likely they’ll slide on all this forever.
They have all lost (abandoned) the expectation of honesty, accountability, truth, professional ethics, etc. Some of them NEVER possessed these expectations. Others, have given up and intend NEVER to jeopardize their ‘careers’ to challenge the open, glaring and laughably obvious lies we see in the ‘news’ daily, almost hourly.
It’s obvious the MSM is in control the Democrats and dominates the Republicans through fear and intimidation.

Researching news (though, hardly done these days)- producing news-broadcasting news-in short, the entire galaxy of tasks associated wit the ‘news business’ costs money.
Ideally this is done to inform and identify ‘public opinion’...
Not satisfied to be the guardians of the common weal, to revere or protect the right of the public to honest and complete information, ‘journalists’ now, CREATE public opinion.
Want to know the source and nature of ‘public opinion’? Well... follow the money! Money and the mindless, pathologically selfish lust for attention reduced ‘journalists’ to the level of sharks on the blood scent.
Unprincipled, biased and wholly dishonest ‘journalists’ get to play God with the facts. The fate and futures of individuals, groups, whole nations is their TOY.
There’s NOT one honest individual in the whole business and if they ever had the esteem of honest Americans-they squandered it long ago.
