President Donald Trump is trying to make the case for Jewish voters to back his re-election as he takes a victory lap with Republican donors in Las Vegas.
Trump was scheduled to speak Saturday at the annual meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition, which supported his 2016 campaign and is preparing to spend millions on his 2020 effort.
Jewish voters in the U.S. have traditionally sided heavily with Democrats, but Republicans are hoping to narrow the gap next year, in part as Trump cites actions that he says show he’s more pro-Israel.
Trump’s speech comes weeks after he suggested Democrats “hate” Jews. His remark came as Democrats engaged in an internal fight over how to respond to comments by Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., that were criticized by some as anti-Semitic.
Before Trump’s appearance, people assembling for the event carried signs with “We are Jews for Trump” and “Trump” written in Hebrew. Dozens of men and several women wore red yarmulkes with “Trump” in white. …

Jewish voters need to wake up. The Dems are not their friends, they just want their votes. Republicans and Trump are the ones who are helping Israel and the Jewish people.

Very true. Jewish people are only 2% of the population but account for 50% of funds financing the Dem party.
Best you can hope for is to stem the flow of money and hope they don’t show up to vote because when they do 75& of their vote goes to Dems.

Most Jewish Americans are not comfortable with the Republican political themes of individualism, self-reliance, and limited government, even though the modern Republican Party, in practice, is almost as far Left on social issues as the Democrat Party.
Bottom Line....
Trump will not get more than 30% of the Jewish vote, and Florida is probably the only state where it will matter.
I hope you are conservative in the number of votes Trump will get, and it does matter outside of FL. Specifically PA, OH, and MI, all states the Trump needs to win again in 2020.
The intermarriage rates of Jewish people is very high, particularly among non-Orthodox Jews.
The notion of a Jewish vote or Jewish bloc is an oversimplification of what is actually on the ground.
A small number of wealthy Jews give large contributions to the Democratic Party. They represent themselves and nobody else.
There are so many larger demographics that can net more votes. The Jews are a tiny percentage to begin with, and only a tiny percentage of them would even consider voting for Trump.

Specifically, I was thinking of southeast Florida when I wrote my comment.
Miami Beach and Broward and Palm Beach counties have very large and politically important Jewish communities.
