Let’s not forget that the incompetent, corrupt pols there defaulted on $72B in debt already. One little island sucking up so much resources and wasting them.

We should move the illegals to Puerto Rico until they are returned to their Country of Origin

The people of Puerto Rico.....
....are GREAT, but the politicians are incompetent or corrupt.
So...
Those 'great people' in Puerto Rico didn't vote for the incompetent and corrupt politicians?

Imagine only being able to choose between two democrat parties. That’s the problem.

When you don't have a choice, the alternative is to just NOT VOTE. Perhaps the low turnout will give the politicians and the people the hint that, perhaps the majority are not content to just go along with things the way they've been, and perhaps then the people will get a real alternative.

Most PR’s I knew in the Army had a chip on their shoulder.
A PR sergeant major once boasted to me that he had never voted in a U.S. Presidential election, even though eligible.
We should cut all ties to PR, cut off all the money, and invite the Cubans to come and occupy the island.
OBTW, PR’s I spoke to love Cuban food, and admire Fidel Castro & think he got a raw deal from us.

Appoint @AOC as czarina of PR.
Give PR to Spain.

In the meantime they are holding America hostage via their sweetheart deals with pharmaceutical companies, years after the disaster. And no one says a word. Lobists are clearly more important than citizens.

That’s with rats ever ware. Problem is that people stay stuck on stupid and keep re-electing them. You would have figured Detroit would have caught on by now after 60 years.. Democraps by nature are dumbasses!

LOL!
My closest friend is married to a Puerto Rican but she is a redheaded descendant of Visigothic Spaniards. Don’t know if she even speaks Spanish.

Most PRs I knew in the Army had a chip on their shoulder.
However, that doesn't mean that they're not clueless about what's best for them. I used to vote democrat in my first few voter-eligible years, but, I've spend the other 40+ years voting republican. I learned and still know how destructive the democratic party's agenda is for Puerto Ricans and minorities in general. But, habits are hard to break, and most Puerto Ricans I know, support the republican agenda, if you ask them about each issue individually. But, like I said, old habits are hard to break, especially when they are scared to vote differently than before, even though they would end up better in the long run. Republicans need to do some 're-education' of the islanders, after they gave up on them for so many years.

Puerto Rico used to have a large drug production industry. What were the legal changes that killed that productive job source, and what legal changes should be made to once again incentivise and encourage other businesses to set up shop there?

I didn’t know that the 82nd did policing or reconstruction. I’ll have to ask my son who was 82nd during Gulf War 1.

Should we do the same with those backwaters Mississippi and Louisiana?
To: elcid1970; cll; All
Can Puerto Ricans vote for President and VP? I’m pretty sure they aren’t in the electoral college, unlike DC
To: gleeaikin
“Should we do the same with those backwaters Mississippi and Louisiana?”
Perhaps Vermont and Massachusetts instead. Like Puerto Rico, they are much more likely to vote Dim.

Island Puerto Ricans can only vote in the primaries, not in the general election.
