Wasn’t there a gold bar from recovered from a sunken Spanish galleon on similar display, albeit without “yours for the taking”, but a couple of guys managed to steal it, and cut and/or melt the bar to sell the gold for something like 5¢ on the dollar?

A gold bar was stolen from the Mel Fisher “museum” in Key West years ago.
They never released how the two got the bar out of the box. I held it more than once. You would have to cut/melt the bar or the box.
there is a way, but it involves extremely strong and longish fingers. The right person can grab a support it on end with finger tips and extract it legthwise from the box. there’s video of someone doing it with a similar set up and succeeding.
Yes, IIRC the Guy had it at His Museum in Florida (maybe in the Keys) now back to the Dubai thingy. If someone has a Private Jet and will cover all the Fuel, Fees and Customs BS. I’ll get that Golden Bison Turd loaded up and We’ll figure out a reasonable split. EVERYONE IS ON THEIR OWN FOR THE TAXES ON THEIR CUT !!! I’ll reimburse the Fuel, Fees and Stuff.

That bar is 3x+ the weight of the bar at Fisher’s, except Mel’s probably was worth more because of its provenance (wreck of the Atocha) than its gold content.
