ANDERSON COOPER, CNN HOST: The 2017 assessment that the President says he now agrees with, that was done while you and then NCI Director John Brennan were still in office. So, how can we reconcile the President attacking you, but apparently after a very long time finally, allegedly saying — or saying he allegedly agrees with the product of the intelligence community that you, yourself oversaw?
JAMES CLAPPER: Yes, well, this is — yes, as we’ve come to know the President, he is not a stalwart for a consistency or coherence. So it’s very hard to explain that. One point I’d like to make, Anderson, that I don’t think has come up very much before, and I’m alluding now to the President’s criticism of President Obama for all that he did or didn’t do before he left office with respect to the Russian meddling. If it weren’t for President Obama, we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set off a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today, notably, special counsel Mueller’s investigation.
President Obama is responsible for that, and it was he who tasked us to do that intelligence community assessment in the first place. I think it’s an important point when it comes to critiquing President Obama.

Brennan was the vile quarterback. “Remember Clapper if anyone ever asks why we began this “investigation”, it was because that great Republican patriot John McCain presented us with this very troubling dossier. Not that anyone will ask you anything once Clinton is elected. You will probably get to keep your job for another few years. You would like that Clapper I suppose.”
And the leftist media will now bury this news and still keep reporting their desired, lying narrative.

Just goes to show that the idiots will do anything to try to beat a dead horse. And one that’s been buried for a long time.
In the interview aired by PBS on May 18, 2018, a year after the assessment went public, Clapper stated:
“As a private citizen, it’s what I would call my informed opinion that, given the massive effort the Russians made, and the number of citizens that they touched, and the variety and multi-dimensional aspects of what they did to influence opinion … and given the fact that it turned on less than 80,000 votes in three states, to me it exceeds logic and credulity that they didn’t affect the election. And it’s my belief they actually turned it.”

This statement was released 10 days after the senate determined through their investigation that no votes were changed during the election:
So Clapper is just trying to sell his book. Fiction or non-fiction. And at this point, with the determination of the senate, he’s no better than the National Inquirer.

As I recall. the Donald was heavily criticized for accepting Putin’s word that Russia did not interfere in the election as opposed to Brennan’s fictional analysis. The Donald said he was skeptical of the IC report.
Brennan called the Donald a traitor. Proof positive that the Donald’s instincts are correct.
