Is it a RICO thing?

I wouldn’t think Uranium One was an ongoing conspiracy. Maybe that’s the one Hillary should be worried about. Everything else is so nebulous. I don’t doubt that the left would like to prosecute conservatives for trying to destroy America, but how do you put a fine enough point on it to prosecute?

I am a bit of an expert on the federal RICO statutes. All of the participants can be prosecuted under RICO.

One of the nice features about RICO is that each individual that had any role in RICO enterprise is guilty of every act committed by the other members. Knowing that others were working with the same objective in mind is all it takes. In fact, an individual doesn’t even have to know all of the participants to be guilty of the RICO predicate acts those people committed.

In addition to significant prison sentences for RICO violations, they would have all their assets confiscated the obtained through their criminal activity, including assets they purchased with their government and other salaries. Athey would also forfeit their government pension benefits.

There are also the sedition and treason criminal and civil penalties

No one has seriously tried yet. We all remember Trey Gowdy and his Sound and Fury hearings that never went anywhere.

I’m not sure where that leaves us if the primary goal of the conspirators is the destruction of capitalism and the acquisition of power for posterity, especially in an America that doesn’t have the stomach to punish these crimes the way they should be punished. I think if they caught Hillary or Obama red-handed, that they’d be allowed to go to their grave as martyrs to the cause.

If you read the authorization document, it certainly appears to limit the investigation to those related to the Trump Campaign. The travesty starts there.
