Headscarfs are 'never' seen by muslims as a sign of respect, nor is it to be considered a part of their traditional dress. It's not.. Rather the Islamic scarf to muslims represents the 'sign of superiority' over the western world because they believe and teach that they are superior over non-muslims. The scarf is the main distinguishing feature between themselves and the 'inferior' non-muslim.
