She could have easily turned down their ‘help’, and gone to LA Community College, instead. Assuming, of course, that LA Community College would have admitted her.
Those parents better watch their backs. The Menedez Sisters are looking for payback.
But, today's the day I do volunteer work and I have to get to it, people depend on me to show up.
Later on, like when I inherit $40M from Dad, I'll send her a warm fuzzy Hallmark.
That is very eloquent (not kidding).
Remember, all publicity is good, and the worst thing is not being talked about at all.
Betcha it does include Medical degrees.
She participated in the fraud and pretended to row her boat upstream
Well, I’m a free-market capitalist so if there’s a market for her to make oodles of bucks peddling her posts, good for her. I still find the whole business model of “social media influencer” ridiculous.
A fringe benefit of that might getting the athletic programs more in line with real-world requirements.
What do you call the person that graduates at the bottom of their class in Med School?

Doctor.............................
Doubt she'll get the followers she's used to.
This new meme, prison femme in the Big House, has more possibilities (assuming they let her keep her phone).
I dont know if she was smart, a dunce, a puppet for someone else but she appeared happy doing what she was doing and making money doing it. She did nothing more than take advantage of opportunities her looks and online presence afforded her. Is she a liberal? Probably but thats not enough to condem her for her idiot parents, liberals, screwing things up for her. Liberals can never just leave things alone. I hope she ends up OK.
Very difficult to believe Olivia didn’t know about the scam. First, she posed for pictures while sitting on a rowing machine, and, from what I have read, she applied to USC as a rower. Did she ever ask Mom and Dad why the picture on the rowing machine was needed? Did she ever read her application and sign it? If she read it, did she see anything in the application stating she was applying as a rower? If she never asked questions, or never read her application, then she willfully blinded herself to the scam. If she knew why the picture was needed, or knew what the application said, then she played an active role in the scam. In either case, she deserved no sympathy. If she truly didn’t know enough to ask questions, or didn’t know she should read her application, then she truly is a dim bulb, but one with lots of money.
Some of us who were serious about college classes learned about hubris, which Aristotle described as ....Hubris consists in doing and saying things that cause shame to the victim
simply for the pleasure of it.
Young men and the rich are hubristic because they think they are better than other people.
I thought I read they had to use the house as collateral for bail?
Presumably she signed her application, which would put her on the hook for the obvious. I’d be surprised if any parents actually got marched off to prison however, let alone a little snowflake.
I believe it. I never heard of any of these people till all this.
I’m more interested in law degrees. I know many of those were bought and not earned. I’m mostly interested in law degrees of federal judges. And I’m seriously interested in federal judges appointed by liberal POTUS’ which means, every judge appointed from Bush I to O’bummer, inclusive.
Does ANYONE seriously believe that ‘rich kid’ whose parents paid big $$ to get them IN to a university will not ensure another large ‘donation’ won’t get a degree? The Uni is gonna fail a ‘deep pockets’ donors kid??? Please! How long has this been done-and how many degreed ‘professionals’are serving as teachers, lawyers and doctors???
What a loser family.
