WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) released the following statement after voting to disapprove of the national emergency declaration regarding the border:
“I stand with President Trump on the need for a border wall and stronger border security, but the Constitution clearly states that money cannot be spent unless Congress has passed a law to do so.”

I guess Randy Paul doesn’t care that Congress passed the “National Emergencies Act of 1976.”
This act gives President Trump the authority to declare an emergency at the border and to take action.
The turd didn’t fall far from the bull.
After the ‘90 to ‘91 war Wrong Paul toured the morning political talk shows expounding on his theory that the use of armored bulldozers and tanks with plow attachments to clear Iraqi trench lines was tantamount to war crime.
Evidently we should have charged in on foot and jumped in with bayonets and trench knives.

If he doesn’t like it, he should start legislation to have it removed.
A man is known by the company he keeps. Just look at the others who voted with Rand. Thats says it all.
I am a Trump supporter. I agree with Paul. That emergency declaration is a bogus law that gives the president too much power. I agree that Congress and only congress controls the purse strings. We do have an emergency. Trump can order the Military to secure the border.
