Why do Republicans still back Trump?

Because Democrats.

There’s a lot more to conservatives and their relationship with Trump. Judges. Deregulation. Wimpy repubs.

But the moment really came down to the stark choice of Hillary as the other candidate. America vomited at the thought.

The rest hardly matters. Jared’s security clearance? National emergency? Stormy Daniels? Please.

Are we to understand that somebody doesn't like the declaration of national emergency? I want to see it turn into actual wall.

His policies are better for America...
and
so far at least,
the DNC has NO decent, honest, sane candidates.. they’re all nuts or anti-American or anti-liberties or open-borders (to thousands of Moslem terrorists and Mexican drug gangsters, etc.)

or anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, you name it .. the DNC candidates so far are AS HORRID AND DANGEROUS AS IS POSSIBLE TO IMAGINE!!!!!!!

if the D’s can shake the SorozNazi-control of their party machine... and nominate a decent, sane American...they could beat almost any R ... but they can’t break free and get their party back again, the SorozNazi and Islamic dictatorship money is just too powerful I guess

This guy gets it.

And the LA Times published it?

I think I need to pinch myself and see if I’m really awake.

Well, yeah. Of course. But I’d be willing to donate to the Clintons if it would defeat the Democrats. The Clintons are personally unimportant to me. What they, and the entire Democratic Party represent is important. And evil and vicious.

So, no, it’s not about the Clintons. But yeah, we can enjoy watching their fall.

Then, there are those who, before the 2016 election, had read the Declaration of Independence, as written by Thomas Jefferson and signed by the brave ones from 1776 who were willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of liberty for themselves and their posterity, and those 2016 readers of America's history realized that, just perhaps, "Divine Providence" and "the Supreme Judge of the World" might be, once again, intervening in the history of America to put the brakes on its decades-long lurch back into the tyranny and darkness from which those brave ones of the 18th Century had escaped. Is that possible?

I don’t want to help the Dims, but there are two major factors:

1) as has been pointed out, Trump looks strong, effective, and pro-American compared to any alternatives. That is true for Dims, but also Republican “challengers”. The R’s have no viable candidates waiting in the wings. Which R’s wouldn’t fold after 5 minutes of the media accusations of rape and racism?
2) if the Dims were smart, they would pretend to be safe, mainstream, stable people, with traditional ideas, and policies with a slightly “thinking about the future” tone. This would peel “moderates” away from Trump. Instead they push forward Ocasio-Cortes, a Somali Jew-hater, Maxine “must ‘peach” Waters, and other fools who worship socialism, hate the US and anyone outside a PC victims’ brigade; and, espouse post-natal abortion, vote fraud, mass illegal immigration, racial reparations, etc. Moderate alternatives might peel moderate voters away from Trump. No need to worry about that. The Dims have gone full feral Bolshevik.

As President Lincoln said about General Grant: "I need him. He fights."

You could see in the recent budget fight that the Dems wanted to force President Trump to accept a deal without a wall. Then in 2020 they would whisper in our ears "he betrayed you like George H. W. Bush did on taxes." Instead he is redirecting money to try to build that wall. Even if he fails he's not surrendering like ever other Republican in the 2016 primary would have.

Such a beautifully written comment.

I can apply this line to you:

I agree with every word you wrote. Thus you are a genius.

I think I saw that graphic on the online law enforcement Most Wanted list. There is a paper copy in a showcase in Post Offices, too.

I know it has been quoted a million times before, but it was what Pres. Lincoln said of Gen. Grant, "I can't spare this man -- he fights"!

Not to mention POTUS's recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel. With Jexodus I won't feel so lonely.

“But a little concerned about the HiB’s also.”

I’m more worried about his apparent comfort with some forms of gun control.

Still. I voted for him chiefly for judicial appointments. On this he has delivered and continues to deliver.
