Translation: Our attempt to frame Trump has failed. We hope that by laying off, he won’t come after those of us who perpetrated the attempt.
Which means, they could possibly impeach him, but it would destroy any chance they have to hold onto the House in 2020.

Maybe they’ll just spring it out of nowhere if Trump’s numbers temporarily drop. No way do the DEMs want Trump running in 2020.
