Who is the guy who really believes that Donald Trump thinks Kim Jong Un is a cool dude? Who is the guy who imagines that Donald Trump really believes that the roly-poly mass murderer had nothing to do with the murder of Otto Warmbier? But if you listen to the elite and their panting puppy media, you would get the distinct impression that Donald Trump actually considers this clown a pal.
This raises an important question – is the elite itself transcendently dumb, or does it imagine us Normal people are so unfathomably dense as to be unable to conceive that maybe Donald Trump’s flattery of a sketchy guy who has nuclear weapons hanging over the heads of 28,000 Americans (not to mention over the noggins of tens of millions of our South Korean and Japanese allies) might not have been totally sincere? Could it be that, perhaps – and I’m just speculating here – that maybe a successful New York real estate developer, who these very same geniuses have been screeching about being a liar for nearly four years, might not be totally honest about his true feelings toward the pudgy freak he is negotiating with?
Might not that be it? Nah. He’s gotta love KJU. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
Either the elite is stupid, or it thinks we’re stupid.
Call it the “New Obtuseness,” this willful refusal to attribute to a statement, position, or policy the most obvious and manifest intent and, instead, to deliberately fold, spindle, and mutilate it into something unreasonable, unlikely, and unrecognizable that nevertheless conforms to the liberal elite narrative.The New Obtuseness is a tool to shut us up by removing the possibility of rational discussion, and thereby allow the ruling class narrative to exist unchallenged. You cannot debate something if the other side consciously refuses to recognize your argument. Of course, eliminating rational debate is only a short-term solution to the elite’s problem, its problem being that its own manifest greed, power lust and incompetence has made us Normals hate it with a seething fury. In the long-term, that righteous fury will eventually explode – as I predict in my non-fiction book Militant Normals as well as my visionary novels People’s Republic, Indian Country and Wildfire – but that’s not the point here (I’ve made it many times before). The point is how they try to silence us, and they all do it. Liberals do it, its slobberingly submissive media minions do it, and the Fredocons do it.
The New Obtuseness is everywhere, but Trump is its biggest target. And not only in the context of North Korea –– in everything. How about Russians? Could Donald Trump’s refusal to say nasty things in front of Putin be an indicator that he’s Putin’s puppet, or perhaps…just maybe… that insulting the guy beside you at a Helsinki press conference might not be the best way to make diplomatic progress?
Of course, the questions directed at Trump at these conferences are intended to do just that – to make a scene. So, when Trump refuses to play along and take up the media’s agenda – let’s create an uncomfortable rift right there live on camera! – instead of pursuing Trump’s own agenda – let’s make diplomatic progress – the New Obtuseness demands that Trump’s obvious refusal to play along be construed as siding with the dictators.
Let’s be clear – Donald Trump has no moral obligation to torpedo the slow but steady and real progress he has made with North Korea towards avoiding a war that would send tens of thousands of American soldiers home in boxes simply because the media wants a gotcha moment on camera. Diplomacy is not pretty, and it must pain the Warmbier family, but there are tens of thousands of American lives at stake and if Trump is willing to swallow hard and say what he must to save them, then God bless him for it.
The New Obtuseness is not actually that new. We’ve seen it from Day One of the Trump campaign, when he came down that escalator and dared to speak heretical truths about illegal aliens. He stated the facts – our open borders let in hordes of illegal alien criminals who push drugs, rape people and kill American citizens. He did not say all illegal aliens are violent criminals (though all of them are criminals, it being a crime to be here illegally), and no fair or reasonable interpretation of his remarks could come to that conclusion. But the New Obtuseness is not about being fair or reasonable. It is about creating and nurturing a bogus spin in the service of the liberal elite’s narrative.
Here’s the thought process: “Trump dared to point out obvious truths about the flood of illegal immigration that we whole-heartedly support as a means to replace the unruly American electorate, so let’s frame those truths as racist by misrepresenting his statement and then people will pay attention to that and not to the truths we cannot allow to be spoken!”
Donald Trump is only the most prominent victim of this rhetorical scam; all conservatives out there in the arena get it too. Take Candace Owens, the young, black conservative activist who has upset so many people by being popular and effective. Envy is an ugly look, even within the conservative tent. Anyway, she was talking about nationalism and made a comment that included the word “Hitler.” This is what she said: “If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, okay, fine.” And this is how the garbage media, in this case, the garbage Washington Post, headlined it: “One of Trump’s most vocal black supporters seemed to defend Hitler in a recent speech.
Media, when you wonder why we hate you and suggest you go learn to code when your garbage outlets layoff some of their garbage employees, this is why.
In what universe could someone draw a rational, honest conclusion from that statement that Candace Owens – and this is a rare instance where it is relevant that Ms. Owens is black – is in any way a fan of Adolph Hitler? There is no such universe – even in the one where Spock has a beard, anyone reading both her statement and that headline who isn’t a window-licking moron would have to come to the conclusion that the WaPo was not merely spinning when it implied that Owens and, by extension, Trump supporters in general, are pro-Nazi. The media was lying.
The New Obtuseness, when it comes right down to it, is just a nice way of saying “They’re lying.”
Let’s review, shall we?
Trump couldn’t possibly be buttering up this butterball bad guy. He must truly dig Kim Jong Un because …reasons.
Trump is totally an active agent of Russia and all the things he’s done to check Putin – like force NATO to rearm and literally killing scores of Russians – were merely a cunning ploy to cover up his abject subservience.
Trump thinks literally every illegal alien is a drug dealing rapist murderer. Every. Single. One.
Oh, and Candace Owens hopes to be the first black Nazi outside a Dave Chapelle skit (It’s hilarious, but no link to that NSFW video on this family-friendly site!).
The question remains: Is the elite so stupid as to buy into this nonsense, or does it really think that we’re so stupid that we will?
Actually two questions and the answer to both is yes.
The leftist elite know it’s a game and the SMART ones play it well. The dumb ones are Lenin’s useful idiots.

If his posturing works and Kim can claim friendlier relations with the USA because of his character the he may be in the position where he can back down and call it a win. Obama and Bush had no success with this clown or his father. In fact they were made to look like fools. I watched Kim’s behaviour at the press appearance before the meetings. He was shutting himself. Maybe he doesn’t like being in front of a free press. I tend to think Trump concerns him. He doesn’t know what to make of him

That is the problem, isn’t it. To the left and the DC UniParty, it is a closed game. The GOPe cheerfully accepts the role of second banana to the RATS and Media, and slurps up the leftovers from the table, satisfied with that. They have their acceptable amount of power and the media makes sure that the rubes back home get reports that their solons are busy “defending them”.
It isn’t a game, damnit! We are talking about our safety and our children’s future, and these bastards are just trading tolkens in their closed power game.
The Democrats are busy destroying themselves. We need to abort the GOPe and replace it with a real, conservative party, representing us and backing our President.

Leftists are just smart enough to be dangerous, and then they believe we are dumb enough to buy the crap they are selling.
Their really needs to be a study done on the mind of “true believer” lefties. I am fully convinced their minds stop developing early in the teen years or near to it. No reasonable fully functional human can believe the junk they do.
It is for the dumbest 10% of eligible voters who bother to vote, who supposedly decide all presidential elections—the swing voters. Think about people who are swayed by campaign ads, who have no guiding political philosophy they can rationally express but simply vote based on who can manage to sway them that cycle.

In two deeply rigged elections with Deep State designated fall guys as his opponents... wake up and smell the coffee, we haven’t been having real elections. Between fixing the choices in primary season, controlling the parties, and outright election fraud we have been under 100% totalitarian control for quite some time.
