CNN, MSNBC Give Liberals Forum to Push Gun Control Myths

In the aftermath of the House of Representatives passing two Democratic-supported gun control bills that expand background check requirements to private purchases and transfers, and lengthens the allowed background check period, CNN and MSNBC have been celebrating by having liberal guests come on their shows and going along with their gun control myths without any conservative guests to counter them.

Severals shows repeated the misleading claim that about 90 percent of Americans support "universal background checks" that would include all gun purchases even though the only states that have let voters vote on the matter have never produced support near 90 percent.

Uh, guess they didn't get this from napa nan becauser their numbers are low according to the lies herein:

"This week, the House of Representatives voted on two long-overdue bills to end the daily horror of gun violence in America. Earlier this week, we proudly passed H.R. 8, which expands background checks to all gun sales to make them universal, and H.R. 1112, which addresses the Charleston Loophole that previously allowed gun dealers to sell a firearm to dangerous individuals if the FBI background check had not been completed within three business days. These bipartisan, commonsense bills respect the will of the American people – 97 percent of whom support universal background checks, including 97 percent of gun owners.

In San Francisco and communities across America, courageous survivors, families and young advocates are showing outstanding courage and persistence in demanding an end to the scourge of gun violence in our nation. Tragically, gun violence remains a heartbreaking, daily reality in our country, stealing the lives of nearly 40,000 Americans last year, including 47 children and teenagers every single day.

In the first week of the new Democratic Majority, Congresswoman Pelosi joined House Democrats, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, gun violence survivors and advocates for gun violence prevention to introduce H.R. 8.

We must continue to turn our pain and heartbreak into action and draw strength from the untiring persistence of the courageous survivors and millions of young people across America who are marching and mobilizing to say, ‘Enough is enough.’ Our Democratic Majority will continue to fight tirelessly for bipartisan, commonsense solutions to end what I view as the epidemic of gun violence and honor our obligation to keep our children and our communities safe.

Congresswoman Pelosi was honored to invite Mattie Scott, the president of the San Francisco chapter of Brady United Against Gun Violence, as one of her guests at the State of the Union.

It is imperative to create a future in which no family endures the heartbreak of gun violence – on our streets, in our schools, in our places of worship, and everywhere. Enough is enough."

The enemies of the Constitution thinks they have more information than they do,

They expect more compliance than they'll ever get,

They expect more support from military and LEOs than they'll ever get,

They don't expect the active resistance they will encounter.

MS13 is exempt from the bothersome background checks, of course, as are all other illegal aliens and drug gangs.

(Hint: they prefer something nicely stolen.)

“They expect more compliance than they’ll ever get. They expect more support from military and LEOs than they’ll ever get.”

While I agree that there will be plenty of resistance, they don’t need full compliance, or anything close. All they need is ‘some compliance’, because disarmed/unarmed people, even if small in number, are much less likely to support gun rights nearly as much as gun owners. And with the loss of some of our support, it gets easier for them to turn the screws even further.

That’s why this crap has to be stopped AT THE OUTSET, before the laws are passed. If we sit back, comfortable, thinking that even with the laws, they won’t have a significant effect on gun owners and the country at large, we do so at huge risk.

As to LEOs, yes many are resisting now. But don’t think the Dems are ready to just ignore this, like Republicans ignore Sanctuary Cities. As others here have said, when it comes to maintaining their jobs, and their retirements, most LEOs will fall into place, meaning they’ll be against us, should those laws be in place and the crackdowns start.

Again - we have to fight NOW, not later...as waiting is very risky.
