Democrats are focusing on AR 15s. They should really be concerned about sniper rifles.

A shooting war won't start as long as Conservatives hold government power.

The Democrats worship government power.

One way it could happen would be if the Democrats gain the House, the Senate and the Presidency, but President Trump has appointed one or two more originalists and Textualists to the Supreme Court.

If the Progressives start ignoring the Supreme Court and/or packing the Court. It could ignite fireworks.

"Democrats are focusing on AR 15s. They should really be concerned about sniper rifles."

If they did, it would be fun to see the pretzel logic of them trying to explain how one doesn't need a 30-06 for hunting.

Yup. Have you noticed how PRS has been growing as a sport?!

Used to be 2 or 3 of us with some steel downrange...

Any deer hunter who can take a buck at over 400 yards is a trained sniper. Deer hunters outnumber most of each of the world’s militaries.

“They should really be concerned about sniper rifles.”

Ah yes.

The scoped hunting rifle.

The most effective insurgency tool ever devised. And the bane of University Professors, Journalists and Politicians everywhere.

The AR/15 M/16 family regularly does quite well in National Match competition. A good, match service rifle with an appropriate load is sub MOA all day long. I have seen a scoped 5.56 National Match upper shoot 1/4 minute at 100 yds. Typical rifle, two to three minutes with service ammo.

That may not be designated sniper rifle capable, but when you consider the general versatility, (the ability to swap calibers by simply changing the upper) the AR/15 family is a great general purpose choice.

Controllable firepower in any war is always a plus too.

“...They should really be concerned about sniper rifles...”

They’re concerned about ANY rifle.

Any gun gets you a better gun.

My AR is good for 100 yards. My deer rifle - well I’m not saying. I can get 3 or 4 before anyone knows which way to run. Even then I can get 3 more. Dumb. AR are for close in (relative) high speed lead in the air. Deer rifles are dangerous.
