Commenting on the double standard the political left and the liberal media play -- conservatives are pilloried and leftists are coddled -- former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova explained that America is in a "civil war" now and that things will get much worse before they get better -- "total war."
DiGenova, who also served as special counsel to investigate the Teamsters and as counsel to the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, made his remarks on the Feb. 21 edition of The Laura Ingraham Podcast.
During the discussion, Igraham noted how the left and the liberal media work hand-in-hand to spin and cover for wrongdoing on the left and yet endlessly attack the right. For instance, the leftist press constantly refer to President Trump as Hitler, Stalin, a dictator, a Nazi, Mussolini, racist, white supremacist, treasonous, disturbed, demented, bigoted, etc.
Also, the left has essentially forgotten the shooting of Republican congressmen by a Bernie Sanders supporter in 2017 and they largely ignore the death threats and assassination attempts against President Trump. They downplayed the anti-Semitism of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mich.) and immediately rushed to defend Jussie Smollett who, as we now know, has been accused of perpetrating a hate crime hoax.

“There’s two standards of justice, one for Democrats one for Republicans," he said. "The press is all Democrat, all liberal, all progressive, all left. They hate Republicans, they hate Trump."
"So the suggestion that there’s ever going to be civil discourse in this country for the foreseeable future is over," said the former federal prosecutor. "It’s not going to be."
"It’s going to be total war," he said. "And as I say to my friends, I do two things – I vote and I buy guns.”
Didn’t expect to hear that coming from DeGenova.
“There will be no civil war unless we launch one, and we simply refuse to do so.”
It won’t be us launching it. I think it’s obvious they are after totalitarian control and after the eradication of everything we love...including existing.
Eventually they will move on us to force compliance and submission and something -nobody- can predict will start the festivities.
But it will come. There are too many people out there prepping for it and almost WANTING it.
I think the only way it doesn’t happen is if the left decides to back off. And they won’t. When they get back in the white house in 2020 or 2024 they will launch a hatefest of revenge. They truly despise us.
It would be horrible to see America go down that path, but it looks like we might.
The bright side is that if you prep by moving to a conservative place, get a nice place in the country, own some guns, have some food...that if nothing happens, you have a nice place in the country, own some nice guns, and sit down for dinner.
No downside to being ready really.
Own or have a gun.
Know how to shoot. If you don’t know how to shoot, then your gun is just an expensive club.
Hard to picture much of anything happening while the poorest are the most likely to be obese and are the most entertained poor people ever. If the smartphones all get shut off and the processed food quits flowing, look out.

Joe has always been pollyannish that these thugs will be brought to justice...I think after the jack-booted raid on Stone, Joe and Victoria realized that Mueller and the left were in total control of the DOJ. (In reality, they’re in total control of the executive branch)

I watched a video on a few shows yesterday of some young conservative man being punched out by a leftist on some campus.
We’ve seen that with campus riots, street riots, political assemblies, anti-fa rampages, and media fake events.
It’s the socialists who are more than willing to attack with physical violence and the conservatives who refuse to strike out or strike back. Part of why they do that is they know that the media will automatically brand them as the aggressors. That’s hard to do if you don’t retaliate at all.
BUT..it also shows that the leftists are more than willing to be violent. That is also the lesson of history. The socialists attack and kill people, whether Communists or Nazis. It is no different now.
Your prediction that they will move to mass violence is supported by their history of doing just that. The conservatives will prefer peaceful discussion and will be killed during the first attack. After that first attack, conservatives have historically fought very well. The issue will be surviving that first attack.

When Trump leaves the scene it will go down hill quickly. The feckless GOP cowards will do nothing just at the current NeverTrumpers, they see no danger as long as they are at the trough. The left will be blocked by Trumps conservative judicial appointments for a while and eventually they will begin to ignore the judiciary and it will then come to a head shortly thereafter.

You are right about terrorists, because that is what the socialists are. You fight to win. The problem with preemptive attack is that the socialists control the media and will use that to destroy you.
So they get the first shot and then we bring doom down upon them.

Place in the country is ultimately worthless unless you are surrounded by a large number of like-minded people willing to engage in community defense.
I’ll say it again, the best way to reverse the trend is to pull one’s children out of government schools, where at 80% of them are converted to a humanist worldview. Conservatives need to pull their heads out of their collective rear ends and realize that we will be overwhelmed unless we reverse the trend.
