Surge in Ivy League anti-Trump courses, ‘imminent apocalypse,’ ‘fascism’....

Report from Young America’s Foundation, The leading conservative youth organization, looked at some 50 top colleges and found 250 examples of courses that question conservatism and Trump.

Beyond the inane, identity- and intersectionality-obsessed topics, these classes advance a liberal agenda, malign conservatives and their values, and shut out ideological diversity,” said YAF spokesman Spencer Brown, author of the 25th annual Comedy and Tragedy Report.

The reports on the courses, he said in a release, “peel back the shiny veneer colleges and universities place on themselves in the name of ‘higher’ education to reveal a stark reality: campuses devoid of intellectual diversity populated with leftist professors, faculty, and administrators intent on indoctrinating the rising generation in the ways of the left.”

Several courses YAF found mentioned President Trump by name. Some examples pulled directly from course descriptions:

Columbia University — Fascism: Aesthetics & Politics. The election of President Donald Trump has renewed interest in the examination of fascism — as an ideology, as a political movement and as a form of governance.

Cornell University — Histories of the Apocalypse. From Nostradamus to Nuclear Winter Brexit, immigration, and the election of Donald Trump have all been recently heralded as signs of an imminent apocalypse.

Dartmouth College — Democracy in the Age of Populism. After the Trump campaign, national electoral politics in the US may never be the same.

Harvard University — Journalism in the Age of Trump: Workshop. President Trump’s declared war on ‘fake news,’ his attacks on the press as “enemies of the people” as well as secular changes in technology and the ways in which the news is produced and delivered have combined to undermine the very notion of truth.

Don’t say that with a “useless degree” in some Neo-marxist sociology field you can’t get a job. Young, indoctrinated Ivy League princelings are often still welcome into the halls of government and high finance.

I know two Ivy League kids, at Yale and Harvard, who studied gender studies and African-American studies, who both work on Wall Street.

Ironic and hypocritical on the surface, but if you understand what drives America’s elites today, its perfectly understandable

We are creating entire generations of ill-educated adults who are monumentally ignorant of history and civics. In sum, we are producing bad citizens.

How does this translate into a job even at a lib think tank? In 8 years, Trump will be out of office and in another few years as forgotten in some ways as the great Reagan is. That is, if life in the USA continues normally.

Meanwhile, my husband is auditing classes at Faulkner University which has a Great Books program. The 18 year olds sit around quoting Locke, John Milton and Aristotle. He was seriously impressed!

I’m sure that spending four years at an Ivy League school learning to hate Trump will come in very useful to them thirty years from now.

” In sum, we are producing bad citizens. “

In sum, we are mostly screwed.

Right now their are presidents of the Univ. of South Dakota and South Dakota State University ‘ fighting against’ a bill pending in their state’s House that would make courses in U.S. History and U.S. Government, along with passage of a “citizenship test,” a requirement for graduation from state-funded colleges.

They certainly think they’re ‘living in the now’ and care nothing of what their future is but to fight for whatever lame-brained ideology the left puts in their heads....

The colleges have always been about...”Change the World”...but only if it’s in line with the left.

All of these sound like one-evening sessions of classes you could attend for free at the community center, alongside wet-on-wet painting techniques and beginning macrame.

The left had 8 yrs and more under Obama to 'fine tune' what they already had in place in the educational system for decades.......it's going to take years to dredge that swamp if it can even be dredged! .....so they'll be pumping these kids out like water over a dam .

That's about it.....but they get credit for it and kids today refer the easy way of ‘getting thru’ rather than doing the hard work...and the professors are happy to oblige!

All this crap is, is pure BRAINWASHING PROPAGANDA!

The Left has had fifty+ years of dominance/propaganda in higher education; actually all education (to wit, the total history of the US as portrayed by ‘The People’s History of the United States’ in almost every public school ).

Of course it is......this is why the left always puts so called ‘education’ on their docket of issues.....they'd better be truthful and call it ‘propaganda’.

I knew that it was BAD; just not THIS BAD!

I'm wondering just WHERE my grandson should even apply, in a few years. Will there be ANY place he'll be able to go, by that time, that hasn't been completely ruined. Right now we are all looking around and talking about Hillsdale and a few other colleges that still seem to be okay.

He was quite intimidated by the kids! The professor later said these kids would be going into law, medicine and other professional careers.
