This is the stuff of fantasy.
Natural gas is what is used to make nitrogen based fertilizer. That is the vast majority of fertilizer in the world.
When you check the nitrogen compounds in the human body, about 50% come from man-made fertilizer. Man-made fertilizer is made from the Haber process using natural gas.
To get away from fossil fuel based fertilizer, you have to reduce the human population by 50%.
Natural gas is what is used to make nitrogen based fertilizer.
So I followed your link about the Haber process. What I learned was that current practice is to obtain the hydrogen used in the process from natural gas. There are other sources of hydrogen available, such as electrolysis of water. So I stand by my comment.
Sounds like Soylent Green New Deal...
"In a distant field, beyond the town, they saw the figure of a man moving slowly, contorted by the ugliness of a physical effort beyond the proper use of a human body: he was pushing a plow by hand." -- Ayn Rand. Atlas Shrugged
“No planes? I have family in Hawaii. How do I get there? “
Sailing ship. The kind with bowsprits and mizzen masts and stuff. Very carbon neutral.
Book your passage now and beat the rush!
“Farmers use internal combustion driven machinery to plant, harvest and transport agricultural products to markets.”
Uhhh, excuussse me. Why do we need farmers and all of their messy dirty things?
People can just go to the grocery store for their food.
I did a rough estimate. It could be done with about a thousandth of the nuclear power produced in a year.
You are correct.
It would be much more expensive, though.
None needed we get your meaning .
Wish they would get the details out now....like France has done.
