Trump faces royal flush of opposition from defense committee leaders to ... (military $ for wall)

Another top lawmaker is opposing the use of military construction funds to build a wall on the southern border.

The announcement comes as congressional negotiators near a spending deal to avert another partial government shutdown. The deal comes in far lower than the $5.7 billion requested by President Donald Trump for the wall.

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) is the last of the “big four” running the armed services committees to oppose dipping into military construction funds if Trump declares a national emergency to build the wall.

“If it becomes necessary, I think Trump might use the emergency,” Inhofe told reporters Tuesday at the Capitol. “I don’t want anything to degrade military construction.”

“I don’t want anything to degrade military construction.”

And when floods of illegal immigrants elect the representatives that fund the military, that won't degrade military construction?

Make it easy: Shut Down The Government.

Our founding fathers risked life/property/family to make a point and gain our freedom.

Pres Trump needs to make good on his stance and do it the Old Fashioned Way: Standing Tall and Firm.

Please, dear Lord in Heaven, I do not want another Bush......

Get the monies the best way possible and the cleanest: SHUT DOWN THE GOVERNMENT UNTIL THEY GIVE HIM THE FUNDS FOR THE WALL.

The President should just reject the budget deal as so much pork. Tell Congress to cut 15% from every department the budget is meant to fund, and never mind on the wall. Declare a State of Emergency, and build the wall with the Army Corp of Engineers, and money from the Pentagon budget. A few less planes, one less Carrier, build the wall.

Great insight!

We really need a new wall in Afghanistan so the poppys don’t get too much wind, and the heroin can be purer and more profitable.

The Committee is reinforcing Trump’s demonstration that the Social Democrats are very much opposed to security and higher wages and is irrelevant to actual building of that wall.

It's a good thing that our Constitution made the President CIC of the Armed Forces and not a Congressional Committee. What

Army civil works projects

could be more important than protecting our country from an invasion? It's time to send visa over-stayers home also.

Take the deal and simultaneously order the contingency funds from hostile agencies budgets to be diverted to the wall to make up the difference . “Eff” em!

Use the money spent on foreign aid. Especially to South American countries. And anything sent to Somalia and the “Palestinians”.

Remember: Republican politicians are not your friends. Unless you’re a billionaire - are you?

I actually prefer dealing with whackjob liberals like AOC and Bernie Sanders, because you always KNOW where they stand.

As opposed to Republicans who CLAIM to be on our side. Until the vote comes.

The Republican Party is likely to go away soon, and few will shed a tear for it.

Inalotofoffal told reporters Tuesday at the Capitol. “I don’t want anything to degrade military construction, not even if all those 42,000,000 Latin Americans who want to come here cross our border. The military construction fund is sacrosanct!”

1. Military buys “portable” steel barriers for general use
2. Barriers are transported to the border
3. “Temporary” barriers are erected.
4. Military is recalled from border duty.
5. As is often the case, non-essential military equipment is left behind, e.g. “temporary” border barrier.

And no one has broken any rules...

Those of us who served in the military know that the military is constantly building crap which is usually unnecessary and in many instances for other country’s benefit and not our own. The money spent on Afghanistan,Iraq and Syria alone is astronomical in the MULTI-TRILLIONS! I cannot freaking believe that nobody in government besides our President and a few other patriots have no intention of building the wall. This country is headed to suicide.
