Listening carefully to Rush today it seems that DJT will take the deal then declare an emergency. Not a win, but not a loss either.

It's difficult for the president to eke out a win when congressional republicans ally themselves with the open borders globalist democrats against their own president.
We often generalize and say that democrats are ruining the country.
But republicans have been complicit in almost all the bad that has come out of Washington in at least the last 60 years - probably longer.
Democrats couldn't screw us to the extent they do if republicans fought FOR the nation as hard as democrats fight AGAINST the nation.

He’ll get money for 1/10th of the wall in his first term and another 1/10th in his second term. After 8 years we’ll have 1/5th of the wall built. There will still be plenty of spots for the cartel buses to pull up and dump their “asylum” seekers on us.
I fully support POTUS but we need to face the fact the Uniparty and their big donors don’t want a wall. So there never will be one.

you vastly underestimate 2 things..
1) That trump won’t use his emergency powers to built it.
2) that we will turn out in the numbers needed to re-elect him if he doesn’t.
Trump has to get this done, or all he will have is his base in 2020 (that’s me so don’t go off on me about it) and it won’t be enough to overcome the democrats cheating

Congress hasn’t demolished “his” wall.DJT is underlining and putting Exclamation points on the Democrats’ refusal to defend the country from invasion for the benefit of the 2020 voters. Meanwhild, the wall is under construction. He does need a large token funding from the Democrats. $2bil, say’ or even $5bil will not do much but that is not the point. He is funding the wall through several legal devices and is building it even as he pounds the Democrats for preventing it. He is forcing the Social Democrats into a corner that is up a tree.

I think it’s a win-win:
No Shutdown, so the whiney dems can’t blame President Trump.
And President Trump gets his wall, by whatever means...his means...possible.
