Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez could not handle President Donald Trump’s mockery of her controversial “Green New Deal” and ripped into him for his comments during a rally.
The New York Democrat fired back at the president after he ridiculed the proposal during a rally in El Paso, Texas on Monday where he called it a “massive government takeover that would destroy the incredible economic gains” made in the nation.
“It sounds like a high school term paper that got a low mark,” Trump said.
“I really don’t like their policy of taking away your car or taking away your airplane flights. Or ‘Let’s hop a train to California,’” he said. “You are not allowed to own cows anymore? There are a lot of problems.”
His remarks during his first “Make America Great Again Rally” of the year drew cheers from the thousands gathered at the El Paso County Coliseum on Monday, but apparently got under Ocasio-Cortez’s skin. The freshman lawmaker and self-proclaimed Democratic socialist lashed out at Trump on Twitter Monday night.
Ah yes, a man who can’t even read briefings written in full sentences is providing literary criticism of a House Resolution.

She quoted a Washington Post article which stated, “Reading the intelligence book is not Trump’s preferred ‘style of learning,’ according to a person with knowledge of the situation.”
The president had already derided Democrats in a tweet encouraging them to move ahead with their “brilliant” proposal.
I think it is very important for the Democrats to press forward with their Green New Deal. It would be great for the so-called “Carbon Footprint” to permanently eliminate all Planes, Cars, Cows, Oil, Gas & the Military – even if no other country would do the same. Brilliant!

Fox News’ Jedediah Bila “loved” Trump’s tweet, noting during “Fox & Friends” that the “Green New Deal” was “so removed from the rational and the practical” that all he could do was “to laugh at it.”
The radical legislation has come under fire for its impractical goals as it seeks net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in 10 years, effectively eliminating all fossil fuel energy production as well as nuclear energy, basically rebuilding every building in America and making air travel unnecessary. The socialist dream plan, which tasks the government with providing for anyone who is “unable or unwilling to work,” would be funded by printing more money.
“They’re coming for your money, and they’re coming for your freedom,” Trump told rally-goers. “It’ll never happen. They won’t even come close folks.”

I haven’t determined yet if she is a Soviet style Socialist or a Scandinavian style Socialist which could make a difference.
A Mark Levin comment was something about our current US being similar to the Scandinavian style (awkward partial coverage by Obamacare and welfare for only some and Section 8 halfway measures with no one really all the way taken care of).

She would be wise not to get into a spit fight with the president. He can hurl spit through a fire hose.

I think the problem here is that 40% of Americans probably support Socialism. That’s why you see people like AOC representing us in Congress. And it’s quite possible that someone like AOC will become our President. Maybe in 10 years.
AOC is the gift that keeps on giving. How someone like her even got to Congress is a mystery but considering her voting bloc I am not surprised. ................................. Aunt Maxine is getting old, they will need to replace her, so why not groom the bartender with the economics degree(??).

LOL. I actually like her in some ways (not her ideology or congressional voting potential), but that is a classic slam down.
It is their Trojan horse of bad ideas introduced into the political arena.
They will push, push and push and get passed what they can.
Then they will push, push and push some more until they get some more of it passed.
Eventually, they hope to feed the entire sandwich to the American people without them realizing they've eaten the whole thing.
It is how the democRATS...er...I mean....the socialists/communists work.

ONLY if we stay vigilant ... the Dems absolutely NEVER give up and don’t care how long it takes; they stay on task, keep their agenda going for decades (i.e., “Obamacare”). Conservatives take a minor victory and go back to their lives, while the Ds just keep on truckin’.
