Limbaugh missed the earlier caller's point about coordinating using the $1B in conjunction with Texas to build the wall.

There was a thread earlier this week suggesting that TX governor Abbott declaring a state emergency and using funds to build a wall along vulnerable spots on the Texas border. Trump can then use federal money in other places to fill in the gaps.

Just in case you have some peppermint patties laying around taking up space, try these. Smooth flavor of peppermint is very addictive.
Crunchy outside, chewy inside, chocolaty and delicious. Do not over bake. Won't last long, because people can't seem to stop eating them.
Store COOLED cookies airtight 5 days.

Chocolate Peppermint Pattie Jumbles / makes 5 doz

ING •8 oz best bitter-or semi-sweet chocolate •2 oz Sweet Butter •6 oz peppermint patties in small pieces •2 lge eggs,
•1/2 cup sugar •tsp vanilla •1/4 tsp salt •1/2 tsp b/soda •1/4 tsp b/powder •1-1/3 cups flour

PREP divide oven into thirds W/ racks. Parchment two sheetpans.
Micro-melt 8 oz best semi/choc, 2 oz sweet Butter in 2-cup measure (or melt on stovetop). Stir in/melt peppermint patties; mix smooth.

BATTER Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt thick and light 3 min. Add b/soda and b/powder; beat 10 sec.
Add chocolate-peppermint; beat smooth 2 min. Scrape bowl; beat in on low 1 1/3 c flour 20 sec. Let rest 5 min.
Scoop out 1-1/2 tea, roll into balls. NOTE can dip tops into crushed peppermint sticks.

FINAL Bake 2" apart 350 deg 9-11 min, rotate halfway thru. Remove; cool on pans on wire rack.
