Nadler asked a question, and then talked to another guy and read something while Whitaker answered, then said, "So you refuse to answer the question." to which Whitaker replied "I just did answer the question."

Then Nadler said, "Not to my satisfaction you didn't answer the question." So, since Nadler didn't even listen to the answer, the whole exercise was pointless. Nadler is an arrogant blowhard who went into this hearing not listening and determined to announce that his questions weren't answered no matter what Whitaker said.

I just tuned through and found S.Jackson-Lee as the inquisitor. She was posing a question and requiring a yes or no answer when doing so would have made him wrong, no matter whether yes or no. Whitaker was attempting to provide a clear answer and being cut off by SJL. I don’t see how she has the brain cells available for anything beyond autonomic functions.
