Nearly 3 percent of illegal immigrants in Arizona end up in state prison or jail during the course of a year — four times the rate of U.S. citizens and legal residents, according to a study that uses federal reimbursements for prisons and jails to try to calculate one of the most important yet elusive statistics in the immigration debate.
In New Jersey, illegal immigrants are incarcerated five times more often, and rates on the West Coast are triple that of legal residents and citizens, according to the study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
FAIR based its calculations on federal government reimbursements to states and localities under the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program, which pays some of the costs for holding illegal immigrants in prisons and jails. To make the payments, the federal government must determine whether an inmate is definitely or possibly in the country illegally. FAIR used the number to then calculate overall incarceration rates.
The method is not without controversy. One analyst dismissed the calculations, saying SCAAP data counts are not comparable to other incarceration counts.
But FAIR says the SCAAP numbers are the best calculation because they focus on those known to be arrested on criminal charges and whom federal officials have concluded are in the country illegally.
In the 10 states FAIR selected, they determined that illegal immigrants ended up behind bars at higher rates, per capita.
“This study should put to rest, once and for all, the notion that illegal aliens commit crimes at a lower rate than legal residents,” FAIR President Dan Stein said. “By focusing on states with significant illegal alien populations and that consistently report to the SCAAP program, FAIR’s study refutes this erroneous claim.”

Someone needs to add up ALL the costs... prison, courts, extra police, emergency room treatments, care for dependent children etc. It’s time for Americans to know what liberal ‘compassion’ is costing our communities.
Because they are committing 4x as many crimes.
Right off the bat they committed a crime by crossing the border illegally. It was apparent right then they don’t obey laws and rules of society. No shock they continue to commit crimes at a higher rate.
Exactly...I venture a guess that what illegals aliens are costing us per year would build a wall and pay for additional Border Patrol agents several times over what President Trump is asking for.
Easily remedied, the cops should just arrest the nearest White, Christian, Straight, Protestant, Male and railroad him for the crime, then the stats would show what the Prog Media want.

The figures show only measureable by accounting, not the overall devastating costs to society.
The illegal immigrants that are in our prisons should be deported back to their respective countries post haste. Not only would it save a bunch of taxpayers money it would permanently get them out of of our country. Furthermore, refusal by the illegals’ countries to accept them should not be an option.
Asia will deport with prejudice anyone entering their country without or overstaying their visa.
It will also deport any non citizen that screws about with their culture or their people.
The majority of the western world died the moment they stopped protecting their people.
There is no going back,
The point is that illegals are treated unfairly in our legal system, since they are imprisoned out of proportion to their numbers. Trying to make you think that citizens and legals are “let off” while the poor illegals are locked up.
Just doing the crime Americans won’t do.
